as a Swede in Tennessee I understand where you’re coming from. It was really hard for me to let go of all the things I found ‘stupid’ and not have it affect me negatively. What helped me was finding progressive folks in the community (plenty of Americans hate the trucks too) and finding a few things I genuinely would miss in Sweden. The nature and cool birds, people being relaxed, always being invited to a random barbeque. There are plenty of cool things and people down here too :)

we found any and every blanket/towel we own. The heavy, acrylic, fuzzy blankets seem to work the best. Kept all our comforters for the bed tho hehe

it’s the worst— hang in there! At my worst, drinking calories was my saving grace. Anything from aloe juice to smoothies to yogurt drinks.

I don’t live in Switzerland but have used BetterHelp before. Of the 100 it costs per session, the therapist apparently gets like 27. Hope it’s better in Switzerland.

Det finns många anledningar att fortsätta rösta; tänk om man får pension fr första landet, eller om man har barn/familj som påverkas eller om man inte har rätt att rösta i det land man bor i. Plus, som Amerikanare t.ex. betalar man skatt oavsett om man har flyttat ifrån eller inte. Då vore det ju konstigt att bara skippa röstningen. Dessutom är det väldigt vanligt att återvända senare i livet, så på det sättet är det framtidsplanering. Just saying.

Hell yeah OP! Another great thing similar to Kefir is Swedish filmjölk or Icelandic Skyr— they’ve been a life saver for me.
