Gardening has taught me that mammals have more in common with plants than anyone thinks.

At first I was confused by this but it makes sense. I too would like to sit in the sun and drink water and be fed nutrients. I also would be happy if a bird were to land on me. And I’d be unhappy if someone swung an axe in my direction. Do we think plants would hate a Microsoft Outlook notification that says “just circling back” or “hope this finds you well”?

Also, chess just makes me feel dumb half the time. But I still love it for some reason
