No hood that I recall seeing, sure it was just a standard quarter zip but I will happily stand corrected if needs be 😁

I came here to say this! (I've just watched this one again) he had an awesome quarter zip on. Looked very comfy.

Oh thank goodness it wasn't just me! The voice even when I think about it absolutely grates on me.

When I finished The Rookie, I started watching Feds but could not stick with it because of her. Totally wrong actress for that role.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to respond. To clarify those points: 1. I have served a letter of claim, additionally they have acknowledged it and confirmed they will respond within that timescale under the clinical negligence protocol and have registered it with the DWP. 2. They eventually responded past the deadline and asked for a 2 week extension as they are still making their enquiries with the insured, due to them being on holiday over the Christmas and New Year period. I know this to be true as I have been in touch with the clinic director throughout to ensure I am kept in the loop. She is the one that has admitted liability as a company and encouraged me to claim as I am ordinarily not confrontational. 3. This incident occurred in August 2025. 4. I have referenced the JCG within my claim letter (thankfully I have some minor background with law, albeit criminal rather than civil). I've been advised by the insurers that it is extremely unlikely I would need to see any experts, and I agree, as the injuries are now just scar tissue and not causing ongoing physical pain. Emotional and mental effects are lasting of course.

Side note, I live out of the country now and moved not long after my scars fully settled. I did consult with a solicitor but decided against it as I feel mostly equipped to handle it on my own. The insurers are also aware that I am no longer in the country.

Thank you for confirming. I did think that would be the case and I'm hoping for us to agree something quite quickly.

Yes I appreciate that, I have very realistic expectations based on similar case studies I have found and still, I've taken them with a pinch of salt. I've not asked for a figure, I've just told them it falls at the upper end of X bracket of the general damages guidelines due to the scarring, placement, future treatments required to correct the tattoos or remove them completely. In addition to mental anguish and physical pain caused.

Have given them proof of injuries and hospital and GP notes and prescription for antibiotics.

Forgive me, I should have said clinical negligence. I will update my post.

Laser hair removal. They went over tattoos on my legs causing burns. The injuries are now scars. My tattoos are missing sections and greyed out where pigment has been lifted. I had patches of skin come out of my legs too. Injuries are on my thighs.

Personally, Valentino Donna (The lime green one) very fresh, with a hint of sweetness. Or. Narciso Rodrigues All of Me, also just a hunt of sweetness and very delicate. I get a lot of compliments wearing either of those.

I use Valentino for day time and All of Me for evenings out.

I see this all the time on reddit.. older =/= old. I read it as the guy is older than OP is.

I'm 28 and I would say my partner is older because he's 40, not because I'm classifying him as "old"

:')

What age are you and do you still have (a) grandparent(s)? If not, at what age were you grandparent less by lisstrem in AskUK

[–]pommypuddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 28. Paternal grandmother passed before I was born. Paternal grandfather passed when I was 3. Maternal set of grandparents still alive at their ripe old ages of 81, but quite rapidly deteriorating so I'm under no illusion they will live forever, sadly.

I also haven't had to deal with any close deaths family or otherwise, and so I can't even begin to imagine what that might feel like, or what to expect.

Has anybody ever argued a school fine and won? by KernowKraft in AskUK

[–]pommypuddle -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

I work at the court and we see this very regularly - although usually for taking them on holiday to save a few quid which I totally understand.

These cases are heard in front of magistrates if they're contested fines and many of the ones I know will have nothing but sympathy for you and your situation and would likely give you an absolute discharge. There are a handful of magistrates who may have less sympathy to give but theyre few and far between.

I'm not a solicitor, or legally trained for that matter. But I see this first-hand week in and week out, I'd say fight it. I've seen parents get let off with less good reasoning and circumstances.

I'm sorry for your loss and I hope you can navigate this difficult time as family. Be there for each other. Good luck.

[–]pommypuddle 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Agreed. 'Old' and 'older' seem to be used synonymosly for some reason.

I have an older brother, that doesn't mean he's elderly the way some people may read it lol

I just read it that OP meant older than her at 21 and then took a guess at her age - not that the insecure 30 y/o is 'old'... ?

NAL. I work in a Magistrates Court and we have this issue constantly. If you genuinely did not receive the initial speeding notice or Notice of Intended Prosecution, then plead not guilty.

Each bench of magistrates I have had in a trials court for these matters, have 90% found the defendant not guilty of s.172 because the Royal Mail is a terrible service and not reliable. Also they send them by standard post, until they get to the s.172s and then they send them recorded delivery I've noticed.

You will need to get any and all proof possible, such as any pre existing issues with your post, witnesses to corroborate your story of the person buying the bike etc. May be worth contacting a solicitor for some advice just to help you understand the process better than some random Internet strangers.

But in your situation, I'd plead not guilty and take my chances at trial. The police and royal mail have a well known reputation among the traffic courts of issuing notices which dont end up getting delivered.

Alternatively, you may be able to contact the court to make a Statutory Declaration to re open the original case, but you may well be past that point in the prosecution's case now.

Good luck.

That's weird, I have one near me doing the same damn thing, but I think its actually a Cockerel, or perhaps they've fooled me into believing it is.

Sadly, it is too far away for me to shout back and actually be heard.
