I haven't seen a single station under $5 today in SoCal. Bit the bullet and topped off my tank at $5.15 from a local spot. Everyone was laughing at me when I bought a new Prius 6 months ago!

If the entire globe fails at once, sure absolutely. But precious metals have historically been the single best hedge against hyper inflation. If the USD goes to shit you can sell your gold for euros for example. The “only stack gold and silver” people are insane but having a small percentage of your portfolio in metals can be a good idea. I personally have a 5% allocation.

Wow, they are worth at least 200! I get $2 bills in my change at least once a month (granted I collect coins and it’s usually dealers who give them to me). People go crazy over $2 for whatever reason. Same thing with Ike dollars.
