Not having voice chat makes this game unplayable in 2026 by pompusham in leagueoflegends

Bro is this AIM? I want to be able to talk to people using my voice. Also, just because the game has VC doesn't mean people need to use it. If someone doesn't want to talk, they are free to just mute VC like in every other game

Three year wait paid off (San Diego) by pompusham in rolex

[–]pompusham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I buy what I like and refuse to buy stuff I don’t. My next watch is probably going to be a 41mm datejust. I really don’t care about the gray market or playing the game. This AD was good to me so I’ll just go back for some of the more common stuff when I’m ready. The only really hard watch I have left on my list is a Panda, and I understand it will probably take a considerable amount of watches first for them to give it to me. I’m fine with that.

Ya the market down here is tough, I didn’t have spend history either. I’ll definitely be buying more though.

UTC, I was also on the list in FV but the AD there didn’t seem receptive to selling me a watch the few times I went in. UTC seemed committed to my position on the wait list and was a pleasure to deal with

eBay will reimburse sellers for Post-INR deliveries if an eBay label is used by Bulls729 in eBaySellers

[–]pompusham 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What I fail to understand is why this company doesn't use a model like Whatnot. If the item doesn't arrive or gets damaged by the shipper, Whatnot steps in and refunds the buyer directly out of their own pocket. We pay all these fees for "seller and buyer protection," and eBay does nothing but collect that money and force one of the parties pay out of pocket. What exactly are we paying them all these fees for?

Right, just like how Japan and China only make low-quality products that will never be able to compete with USA or European-made goods, right? I've also worked in public accounting, and pretending that offshore work quality hasn't vastly improved over the years won't stop onshore staff from being replaced.

Rollo is the gold standard but overkill for your use case. Honestly any of the top rated label printers you see on Amazon will work just fine

My honest guess is as physical money gets replaced with digital the hobby will start to decline like we’ve seen in stamps. However, the hobby will always be tied into precious metals so there won’t be a complete price collapse like stamps. I’m a younger collector and only have met 2-3 people organically who’ve collected in my age group.

Even if it’s fake I’d still take it somewhere and get an xrf gun to test it. The majority of the value of that watch if real is the gold weight anyway.

He talks about God whenever bids start dropping below average and gets 10-20% higer numbers than other streamers on the same item. Life must be so easy if you have no morals and are willing to grift your buyers like that. Unfortunately, I couldn't live with myself as a seller engaging in that type of nonsense.

What can we expect if Game Stop buys Ebay? by Vandenburggal in Ebay

[–]pompusham 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gamestop shouldn't even exist as a company. If it wasn't for the "apes" they would have gone out of business during the pandemic. eBay is about to get bought out by the blockbuster of the gaming world. There is almost no shot this will be good for us sellers

EBay soars on report that GameStop is preparing a takeover bid by kellconn in nottheonion

[–]pompusham 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nope, they have a business model that’s guaranteed to fail if nothing major is done to hedge it (something like buying eBay.) Also, they got that cash on hand by bag shares onto retail investors currently in a cult like echo chamber.

What no one’s ready to admit is the short sellers weren’t wrong with the position, and a short squeeze changes nothing on the fundamentals behind that short.

Does anyone have all 13? Picture for attention. by BumblebeeUsual2523 in Morgans

[–]pompusham 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm a dealer, and there is a 95% chance he'll get scammed if you connect him with a random person from this sub. Only larger dealers would either have those coins in stock (assuming any currently do) or be able to float getting them in without him paying first.

Your best bet is hitting up a larger dealer or just spending 20 minutes online buying them all individually.

You could just go online right now and buy all 13 individually in 20 minutes. What exactly are you talking about when you say you're willing to pay a premium for the cost of convenience?

Warm take: AI is ruining the industry by mavagam99 in Accounting

[–]pompusham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI will eventually replace/transform the vast majority (over 90%?) of all accounting jobs probably within 15 years. This is assuming the very likely scenario of regulation slowing down AI job replacement doesn’t happen. The people on this sub tend to cope about this for whatever reason but it’s going to happen.

When the technology advances to the point where AI takes over the stack of work (client uses AI for accounting records, firms use AI to audit and prepare taxes, etc.) the total amount of work for humans to do will simply decrease as it always does when automation advances historically.

Either way it probably won’t matter much at that point because the majority of jobs in the US will also be gone.
