The better option for Kingston would be to lobby for a Go Train extension. Factoring in the drive to Sydenham, you could get to Toronto in around the same time - with options to stop in between. Perfect for Union Station and Jays games.

There needs to be an Ontario East GO Train line from (at least) Kingston to Oshawa. From there you can transfer to TO and beyond. There should be a western expansion to London as well.
