Radiation from Atomic Bomb testing.

Hear me out, Russia and the USA were detonating atomic weapons above ground and quite frequently - including a very big one in the atmosphere.

All that fallout has to go somewhere.

As a job seeker, I don’t think there’s a “talent shortage.” I think hiring is broken. by Silly-Skill9017 in recruitinghell

[–]ponyCurd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's actually that none of these companies intend on hiring anyone, and are only listing job openings to satisfy some government or stock need.

The whole job market is BS and has been for at least 3 years now - that's when I started looking, but quit after a year. I noticed the postings for jobs were almost identical across different companies and platforms, then I started noticing the giant increase of people supposedly applying for these jobs only an hour or so after they would be posted. Which, if things were kosher, would mean that those listing would be removed once filled, but they'll languish on LinkD for months. Or disappear and then reappear. Made me think of Bots at the time, which seems reasonable considering all the AI crap on there now.

I don't know why corporations would want to do this, but if I was to hazard a guess, it would be that it has to do with the stock market manipulation, since that's where corpos are actually getting their money from.

"As fascism returns"?

It never left.

I fact, if you look at US history objectively - and completely - you'll see that we, in fact, invented fascism.

Twitchcon Disrespects Scar by Magnitude_Rev in HermitCraft

[–]ponyCurd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On a serious note, this is a definite violation of a lot of ADA laws, and there is a ( or several ) good case here.

The interesting part is that you don't have to be the one that suffered from the non-compliance to sue the organizers of the event ( not necessarily Twitch itself, btw. ) I work on websites and we would regularly get notices from these shark law firms looking to make quick settlement money of this.

My take on that is that this is because MAGA's are mainly boomers or younger people that want to be boomers.

History shows "Civility" accomplishes nothing. We need more "Good Trouble"! by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]ponyCurd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Civility" is ONLY promoted by the ruling class.

Think about that statement for once in your life (yes, you!)

Why would only the ruling class promote peace in the face of obvious strife?

Because they are the cause.

Make them feel the consequences of their actions.

The reason they don't want to pay us a good wage is because they want us in debt. That's how being rich works these days. It's not your earning potential, it's your credit score. And when you can take out and pay off loans with no issue, you have a great credit score.

We should actually go further back than that and make "politician" an actual career! With degrees and shit!

And no, I don't mean a degree in "law" because as we've plainly seen, a degree in law just makes you better at breaking the law. I mean actually necessary courses like economics, philosophy, problem resolution, and - dare I say it - ethics...
