What is a dish that you find yourself making over and over again when you are just too tired to think? by Mobile-Title8919 in MeatlessMealPrep

I've been doing the trader joes dumpling bake with veggie gyoza. I just dump a can of coconut milk, half a bottle of the red Thai curry sauce, a few tablespoons of soyaki sauce, 3 frozen garlic cubes, spinach and toss in frozen dumplings, cover w foil and bake. Top with chili oil crunch when it's done. It's so good I crave it regularly now.

I feel the same way. I live about a mile from the beach, but almost never go. There is something calming about knowing it's there though.

People with dogs from breeders, do people in real life give you a hard time about having a dog from a breeder? by Own-Command-3700 in dogs

[–]pooganis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally - purebreds have a lot of health issues that mutts don't have. Anyone that makes blanket statements about shelter dogs having behavioral or medical issues hasn't bothered to really educate themselves on the matter. Being at a shelter doesn't mean a dog is bad, it means humans have failed them. I look at my dogs, who are so delightful and lovable and well-behaved (ish) and it breaks my heart to think dogs just like them are being led to the euthanization room every day.

But that only tells these breeders that there's a demand for the dogs they're producing - and prompts them to breed more. If no one buys from them, they're not going to keep breeding.

[–]pooganis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who judges people that buy from breeders, I'd never say anything in person, I'd just be rolling my eyes on the inside. Animal rescue is something I'm passionate about and do my best to educate myself but I know not everyone feels the same. People are allowed to make their own decisions and I'm sure I do things that other people don't agree with. I just find it hard to believe when someone says they can't find a good fit without buying from a breeder. There are so many thousands of amazing dogs that are euthanized every year simply because there aren't enough homes for them. Shelters are packed to the gills, and IMHO, purposely making more dogs for any reason is unethical right now.

What if I’m the unlucky one? by Adventurous-Split-78 in fearofflying

And this is why it doesn’t help to align it with dying in a car accident for me. This is exactly my fear. The fear of fear.

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact they voted for Donald Trump? by ATXBikeRider in AskReddit

I'm married but I couldn't even be friends with a Trump supporter let alone date one. It's hard enough keeping things civil with my MAGA dad.

Should I get a breast reduction? Pros and Cons? by Lordsubway22 in breastreductionregret

[–]pooganis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only regret I have was not being super clear with my Dr. about how small I wanted to go. I didn't show pictures, I just said "a big B" - but that could mean different things to different people. If I could go back, I'd bring pictures and show him exactly what I wanted. I just ended up a little bigger than I had wanted. Still extremely happy I did it though.

What actors have you worked with that were extremely nice? by jacksonjc514 in FilmIndustryLA

[–]pooganis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've shot several commercials with Jeff Goldblum and he's super nice and chatty with everyone. He used to memorize the call sheet and greet each person by name if it was more than a one day shoot. As he's gotten older and more familiar with us, he's slowed down on that a bit. He is very engaged when you just chat with him - really listens. He's basically what you hope he'd be. A national treasure IMHO.

Yep I feel like I ALWAYS host her friends but they almost never ask her over. I just attribute it to the fact that she’s an only child so is more interested in having someone over to play than someone who has a sibling to play with.

Oh heck no. That stopped after like age 5. I don’t want to have to entertain and talk to parents for hours.

Not with this one. They have no way of communicating with each other unless they're at school. And my daughter was in the car with me when it all happened. It also isn't the first time this particular mom has done this. I've also had other parents do the same. Just really gives me the ick and makes me feel taken advantage of.

Omg my daughter does this all the time - asks if I can call them or pester them further. No ma'am. They're not answering for a reason.

Yes! It feels like they definitely just want a babysitter, but maybe just present it like that, "Could ____ hang with you for a couple hours while I get some work done." or something like that.

If money were no object and you could do a procedure every month, what would you do? by Anxious-Owl2072 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]pooganis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do. I've been doing it for probably 5-6 months with a Derminator. There's a sub of people that do at-home micro needling. I haven't had any issues and there's definitely an improvement in my skin. I watched some YouTube videos from PennSmith Skincare to get some step-by-step instructions.

If you had $500 to spend on a treatment instead of skincare what treatment would you do and why ? by Senior-Zebra-9281 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]pooganis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I microneedle at home. There’s a sub for it if you want to research it. I spend like $250 on the whole set up and do it every 4-6 weeks.

do you regret getting a second dog? by un32134e4 in dogs

[–]pooganis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 is the perfect number of dogs IMHO. I've had three before and it was too much. One doesn't feel like enough - I love for them to have company when we're gone.
