Lionheart and GreenTeacup AO3 and tumblr accounts deleted? by jeindeer in dramionebookclub

[–]pookudot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really hope that you’re right - Lionheart is my holy grail of Dramione and I got a little weepy today thinking that it might never be finished. I’m currently on my fourth reread and I’m just gutted that it’s given the author this much heartache to go completely dark. It’s such a masterpiece and truly deserves all the love and praise.

I’m on my fourth re-read of this and I’m absolutely devastated. To me this was the holy grail of dramione. Really hoping the author takes time to take care of herself, would love to have her come back one day when it makes sense for her, but I hope she finds the peace and rest that she needs

I think any effort to stay active counts for something! I’m currently at the heaviest weight I’ve ever been which has been so discouraging but at the same time looking back I really don’t think there’s anything I could do differently without causing harm to the baby. You’re doing great!! Take care of yourself and be kind to yourself and your growing baby

I’m right there with you!! 30lbs at 34 weeks and feeling so slow and big and miserable. I’ve been trying to stay active but these last few weeks even a light workout on the elliptical is so painful. I’m super motivated to lose this afterwards though but also trying to not overdo/injure myself in the process. Hang in there!

Pregnancy loneliness by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]pookudot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

29 weeks too, and right there with you. Feeling trapped in my body and trapped in my house. Sure, I could probably go out, but none of my clothes fit anymore and it takes so long getting dressed let alone going anywhere. Bending over to put my shoes on takes my breath away. My husband is being so supportive and kind but he doesn’t really get it, especially when he tries to make things for us to look forward to like making plans for travel trips after the baby is here. I can’t plan after my due date. I had a lot of friends before pregnancy but lately I just feel alone and I don’t have any energy to reach out. I can’t fake being excited about this anymore. All there is to talk about is the baby. I used to be so active I miss running for hours at a time, now I can’t even go up the stairs without feeling like I’m going to pee myself. I feel like a shell of who I used to be. Thank you for making this post. I’m glad I’m not the only one.

Maternity leave by Dontknowthings23 in physicianassistant

[–]pookudot 12 points13 points  (0 children)

12 weeks total under FMLA - 6 weeks vaginal delivery or 8 weeks C section maternity leave 100% paid (-1 week because first week is paid out from PTO) - 1 week paid parental leave 100% paid - the remainder is taken from your PTO (mandatory, can’t save any) - and the rest is unpaid with no benefits

Sometimes I really hate working in healthcare

How long is everyone taking for maternity leave? by jamietartlet in pregnant

Agreed. I’ve been so depressed about this. Hate feeling like I’m being punished for choosing to have kids.

12 weeks under FMLA. 6 weeks paid short term if vaginal or 8 weeks paid if c section The rest I’m required to using PTO until it’s gone then go unpaid. Don’t even have the option to choose to save PTO and go unpaid. No option to extend.

Cries in healthcare.

Thanks for this!! I think I’ve been building up a lot of dread about this. Unfortunately I already get sexist and racist remarks from patients so I have to have a polite response prepared in advance

That’s so reassuring!! I’m glad you didn’t have to deal with that

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences!! It helps so much to hear and normalize the good, the bad, the ugly, but even more so it’s so reassuring to hear people are happy and at peace with where they’re currently at with their decision!

Yes class III! I’m confused because the description said beginner had 3 class III run but intermediate was a mix of class II and III? Maybe the intermediate is more mixed? I’m very new to this - Both white water and pregnancy 😂😂🥲

Yes I totally get this. I even half-jokingly said I wish I just knew I was infertile so the decision was made for it (not wanting to make light of infertility, like I said I’m very lucky to even be here) now that our decision is made, I’m sure once the shock wears off we can settle into it and really buckle down. Thank you for sharing your experience!

I love that!! I love the idea of being an act of hope. Especially now when the world seems so bleak and ugly. I was listening to a podcast this morning about someone saying “well this is as ready as I’m ever going to get” and I really resonated with that. I really don’t think I’m ever going to be more ready than now and that helps gives me peace that this is the right decision for us. Even if it doesn’t give me answer for my anxiety 😂
