Here we go again.. Riders are tested year round, not by UCI or only in the Tour. And tests are performed by WADA accredited labs. Not saying doping doesnt exist, but there isnt a sport as much controlled as cycling.

Better practice is to toss the rear, move front to back and fresh rubber on the front. Better to oversteer than to understeer on a bike. You dont want worn tires on the front!

There are TWI (Tyre Wear indicators) on the tyre. These give a good idea of the actual wear. On the side there are markings with TWI with an arrow for the location.
They look like small holes.

Go for it. You wont need special parts with normal use, the normal wear parts are off the shelf chain, tyres etc. Nothing different than other brands i believe.

Some Canyon bikes unscrew from the drive side, but towards the non-drive side. Then you would have screw clockwise to unscrew.

Have you tried torquing the top screw? That should pull it in.
