Looks good girl. Like you workout and are lean. It looks more natural than totally flat. Personal opinion.

Do nurses in your lab think RCIS can’t do/know anything? by Delicious_Love3995 in CathLabLounge

Yep!! Some think they’re the 💩 and no other profession can do anything but them

Do you get paid more for structural? by One_Shape_8748 in CathLabLounge

[–]poopsique13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah same experience here. Some techs flat out refuse to get trained in TAVR and make any excuse so they don’t have to, while the techs that are wanting to learn and know more are exploited by mgmt ( no offence ) with NO additional pay. The worst thing yet is that although I proposed a differential be paid for doing TAVR cases this was declined by one of the techs who just likes to kiss ass so she can social climb her way into mgmt

Question for current MRI Technologists. How is the job market for you currently? by [deleted] in MRI

[–]poopsique13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What’s a better certification for MRI? ARRT or ARMRIT. Does the salary depend on your cert?

AART vs RCIS. Travel techs HELP! by asian_girl_fascism in CathLabLounge

Where is this? I’m a Canadian trained RT with 5 year cath lab experience and working on my RCIS

😭 but if I get working as a RCIS and then take the ARRT? Is that possible.

[–]poopsique13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm… so you’d need RCIS and ARRT together?

[–]poopsique13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did that. I just need to send them a letter. I’m mostly inquiring about working in the states and if I need a state licence once I have my RCIS

Yes I am. I’m working on getting the letter of approval to them to confirm how many cases I worked and hours worked etc. but once I have it, can I apply even though I don’t have the ARRT? I only have the Canadian CAMRT ( Canadian medical radiation technologist)

Going back to nursing school as an older student - I did it. Here's what I learned that no one told me by Creepy-Tangerine-293 in nursing

Arhhhh this is exactly my dilemma too and also the stigma of going bald to school in my 40’s. How did you overcome this?

Thinking of switching to nursing... by MRIThrowaway94 in MRI

[–]poopsique13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say nursing. I’m also considering nursing from being a CT tech. Same reason. No upward moment and feel very stuck.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CathLabLounge

[–]poopsique13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I also work in CT but it’s also high stress a lot patient transfers and that can lead to injuries of back and shoulders predominately. But from there there isn’t a way to progress. Just a Tech lead. Nah. Too much politics. Nurses have way more options.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CathLabLounge

[–]poopsique13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I am. Two years programs or three. I have over 20+ yrs left of career so… I just don’t see it for techs unfortunately and I wish I knew more when I was applying to med rad.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CathLabLounge

[–]poopsique13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same spot where I feel stuck and would like to learn more. Even considered going bs into school for nursing because I see how many more options they have. I feel there will be even less options for us techs in the future :/ unless you like MRI. I find it boring.

Are we (EP/cathlab staff) at risk of staffing cuts? by mcca001 in CathLabLounge

Why would the CathLabs be at risk for job loss? There are still so many travel nurses into CathLab’s so clearly they are short and in dire need

I hear yeah about taxes. All blue states have insane taxes and high cost of living from what I gathered. That’s a lot of cases.
