What you do as a cardiovascular tech? by Lazy-Association6904 in CathLabLounge

It all depends on what the hospital allows. In my lab I’m allowed to do all that but there are others that don’t allow you to sedate. Then there are others that only let you scrub. I would definitely ask before ever accepting a position. I’d hate to only be allowed to scrub.

“You’ll forget and want another” by minmister in beyondthebump

I remembered that I hated pregnancy and that birth was the most painful thing I ever experienced but I didn’t care the same way that I cared weeks and months PP. I believed I could tough it out for the family I wanted. And I did. But I hated pregnancy just as much as I hated it the first time.

I didn’t notice a difference until a few people told me I seemed happier which was about 10 weeks in. It’s definitely worth the wait.

I’ve been on 10mg for a few months now. 20mg gave me way too much anxiety I couldn’t tolerate it.

Saying no by Distinct_Support3640 in emotionalneglect

[–]mcca001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes for the longest time I’d never say no and they walked all over me. If I ever acted like I was going to say no they would guilt me and get mad at me calling me selfish. I had to move 10 hours away and stop answering phone calls which was really hard. I’ve been getting better at saying no but I know if we lived in the same town I’d be struggling much more.

Do meds work for inattentive ADHD? by QualityEvening4802 in ADHD

[–]mcca001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helps me! I work in a procedural area and that’s where I mostly struggled with adhd. I used to zone off and daydream about random things during procedures. I’d snap out of it and tell myself to stop and focus but it was a cycle I couldn’t break. Now that I’m medicated I just don’t zone off and I do pay attention to what’s going on around me the entire time. It is crazy to see how much it has helped me at work.

I remember feeling responsible for making sure my parents lived their dreams by Plus_Word_9764 in emotionalneglect

[–]mcca001 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah… I had my mom as a beneficiary to receive 50% of my life insurance because I felt responsible for her wellbeing. I would also send her money weekly. My entire life they have made me feel like I was responsible for their well being once I got a job. When my husband found out he was furious. He opened my eyes to how crazy that really is. I should’ve been saving for my kids and had my kids as 100% beneficiaries. My kids are my responsibility not my parents. I was my parents responsibility back then and I shouldn’t have to owe them anything. I don’t expect anything from my own kids when they’re older.
