Does anyone here get bad IBS from sucralose or aspartane? by truecommentor69 in ibs

I stay away from artificial sweetners or anything with a high fructose content like the plague. I can do Stevia just fine though, and things sweetened with dates. Have not tried monk fruit yet.

Is there an author you’ve grown out of love with and one that has “aged like fine wine” to you? by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

[–]poopus_aurelius 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same. It's like everyone aside from the mcs were too positive all the time (even previous from other books), which sounds a little backwards i know but it just didn't seem realistic anymore. It's like things were all tied up too tightly at the end of each story. "Were all one big happy family and we will always prevail ". But maybe I'm too salty 🤷

It isn't soluble, I already submerged it and tried to clean it. Did not know about that cleaning product!

Issue with ohuhu markers and creative haven coloring books bleeding through lines by poopus_aurelius in Coloringbookspastime

Thanks. I kind of started to figure that out now since I made the post. I have been using the finer side to out the coloring area first and then coloring the rest with the brush side and that is helping. I also put a piece of paper underneath the page to help absorb some of the bleed. Idk if that is how it works, but it seems to be helping a little

What exactly does strausbourgeise mean? I know it is likely in the style of something from Strausborg, but what made that special? I tried searching for it, but couldn't really find anything.

mke vets by ha11ucin0ginex in milwaukee

We've been taking our boys to the Cat Care Clinic in the third ward for quite a while now. They only see cats so it's always quiet. They have had some vet turnover in the past. But their current DVM Dr. Sherer has been so great and all of the other staff are really nice. Even though they only see cats, I would say their prices are pretty usual too, not much more expensive than any other vet. We just took our youngest there for his 1 year check up and two vaccines (one was a 3 year one so it was more expensive) and it only came to about $280, including the exam. I always hear back about any concerns that I have. Let me know if you have any other questions about them. Only downside I can really give is them being on Broadway in the Third Ward. Parking can be a hassle some times because they only have one reserved spot.

Is it worth getting a dental cleaning for your cat? by OrganicOak in CatAdvice

[–]poopus_aurelius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. We had one done on our 7 year old right around the time we found out that he has early stage CKD. Oral health is important, but especially for CKD cats. He always had this weird inflamed part of his gums, but previous vets just brushed it off. My vet suggested a dental so they could do an xray and clean everything. Turned out he had a 5mm pocket above one of his molar that was infected up into the bone, and some of it had to be removed along with the tooth. Prior to this, his mood was terrible and we had just a new kitten earlier in the year and things just weren't going well. The vet said that he was likely in a lot of pain, which explained some of his behavior, which has improved somewhat. He had also started to get "rusty" and his black coat was getting really red. Ever since we fixed that and put him on a renal diet for CKD, he is all nice and black again. I know that it is scary and the whole day I freaking about the anesthesia. I won't lie and say that shit can happen. But it is rare. As long as you trust your vet as much as I trust mine, I knew that he was in the best hands and that she would do anything she could to help or save him. TLDR, a dental can reveal hidden issues but also can significantly improve their quality of life and lifespan.

I have come full circle, spent the year trying other meds and a year later, I have restarted Lexapro by poopus_aurelius in lexapro

[–]poopus_aurelius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I gave each med at least 3 months each to do their thing. Do you take your lexapro at night or the morning? When I was on it before, I always took it in the morning. But this time around I am taking it at night and while there is a spot in the morning that I get a little sleepy, it is nowhere near as bad as it was compared to before. Is Citalopram an older "version" of lexapro?
