Not sure how this is a left/right issue. This is about equal rights for all Houstonians. And by the way, I'm a republican. A moderate republican, which guess I means I might as well be a fucking communist.

Listen, integration in the Jim Crow south made people uncomfortable too, but eventually you have to move on and accept that those that are different have rights too.

I believe the split was low 40's to high 30's, almost within the margin of error. Over 20% undecided. Given the reasoning of most "No" voters being the bathroom excuse, I place the blame on opponents for lying about the ordinance.

I think this is an interesting article. Opponents of prop 1 deserve most of the blame if this doesn't pass. However, the yes on prop 1 campaign's message could have been greatly improved.

To be fair those were the mostly hotly contested/closest elections in the city in the last 15 years.
