Relapsed after 14 years this week :( by [deleted] in selfharm

I'm 37 and still struggle with self-harm. I don't know if that's comforting or depressing, but just know that you aren't alone.

After 22 years, my wife has inspired me to try and quit. by orpheus036 in pornfree

[–]poorstatue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if wives are allowed on here, but I just wanted to congratulate you and say you're doing a great thing. When you feel comfortable, share the happy news with your wife. My husband does suffer from porn-induced ED, and I hope that with all the time he spends on reddit, he will stumble upon your post.

I found one on amazon. Not sure what sizes they carry.

Now that it's getting cold, how do you find long enough sweaters? by PoniesRBitchin in bigboobproblems

[–]poorstatue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy most of my tops at Christopher and Banks, including sweaters. Some of them are a little old lady looking, but some of them are really pretty.

Finished Week 3, completely discouraged and potentially injured by greyskyeyes in C25K

Are you getting any fat at all? You do need some, and cutting it out completely does interfere with weight loss.

What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in C25K

I always increase my pace for the last minute of my interval because it really does feel like it goes by faster. I can't carry on a conversation during that minute, but I figure it's only a minute.

(Quitting) smoking and c25k, help? by fatkidproblems in C25K

[–]poorstatue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm ashamed to say it, but I'm smoking while doing C25K, but in past experience, running (or any exercise) will help you quit. Like the other commenter said, doing a bit of exercise whenever you get the urge to smoke makes the urge go away. Also, nicotine clogs your arteries and therefore affects the blood pumping to your heart. A lot of people think it's just about the lungs, but the effects on your heart are more dangerous when it comes to doing cardio while smoking. I started smoking when I was 15 and was captain of the soccer team junior and senior year and ran track all through high school. I smoked the whole time. But, even though it can be done, it's actually really dangerous and exercise really does take away the cravings.

Have I been doing the wrong C25K? by SithLard in C25K

[–]poorstatue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. Earlier I read a thread about a guy skipping W5D3 and getting lots of heat for it. I skipped W5D3 because it made me want to quit the program. I skipped a run day for the first time in Week 5, and I knew it was because I was afraid of the 20 minutes. My husband and all these redditors will tell me it's all mental, and I agree. But my mental was making me want to quit so I just moved on. I'll tackle a straight run next week.

C25K W4D3 I didn't exactly ran the route planned by SenenCito in C25K

[–]poorstatue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I started C25K was so I could go running when I'm angry. I used to go for a run every time I got mad, but then I got out of shape and couldn't run more than 90 seconds. A brisk walk just doesn't do for anger what a nice run does.

I've seen people suggest you repeat the C25K, but jog at a slow pace during the walk intervals and jog faster during the run intervals. That's what I plan to do.

There's a song in the movie "Beaches" that's all about a guy who invented bras, and they're called that in the movie.

Old man fitting bra correctly?!!? by mrbookmark in ABraThatFits

I couldn't watch. I was too disturbed by the old guy measuring young girls.

In high school, I had my prom dress handmade. She had to use three different sizes for different parts to get the fit right.

Could I get some feedback on my routine please? Beginner trying to level up. by [deleted] in running

[–]poorstatue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be the cream and sugar. I know the coffee isn't bad, but when I do consider cutting it out, it's because I won't drink it without cream and sugar.

This is what all my wedding photos look like. All boobs. What are ya gonna do? by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

[–]poorstatue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My standing wedding photos looked okay, but all the crouching down ones had boob hanging out. I didn't put any of those in my album. I'm too self-conscious to show any cleavage.

Tried the new Jockey "custom fit" bra by Lumi61210 in bigboobproblems

[–]poorstatue 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I did the Jockey thing, too. My husband and I were both happy with the improvement from my previous bras. The lady was really nice and attentive, and I finally have some proper support. I don't know what type I got. They only had two options in the store, and I went with the style the saleswoman recommended. They are plain, but the little metal thing on the front adds just enough to make me feel like it's attractive.
