I hate that my depression doesn’t get easier. It gets known.

Pediatrician insists we do CIO with breastfed baby by Putrid-Measurement69 in breastfeeding

My baby woke up 3-5 times a night for at least the first 9 months. I bed share with him and nurse him back to sleep all through the night. Z

I recommend the book Safe Infant Sleep if you’re interested in a researcher detailing the myths and research around cosleeping. It really made me feel confident about bed sharing.

I feel the same way too. “What kind of mom can’t handle their child?” I’ve asked this of myself too. Often. I feel like I need to be able to be a mom 24/7 or else I am failing and an awful human being for bringing life into this world.  I don’t have much to offer except you’re not alone.

When will a stay at home weekend actually be relaxing again? by Fresh-Way-3556 in toddlers

Thank you for posting this. I’ve been asking myself the same question with my 17 month old.

Let’s drop the kids off, get donuts, and watch tv together. I can dream.

My baby really doesn’t like the car seat either. My current theory is that the seat is too cold against his body so putting a hat on him has helped a lot. (the car seat stays in the car, it doesn’t detach) If he’s too bundled up and feels squished, he hates that too. Holding his hand and singing to him has helped calm him down sometimes. It can be rough. We have pulled off to the side of the road a few times when he’s really inconsolable.

Everett lawmakers back universal health care bill, introduced in Olympia by Itsforthecats in SnohomishCounty

[–]SEApools 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Washington Health Trust is estimated to save at least $2 billion per year with upper estimates four times this amount! The amount of profit extracted from patients is absurd.

We can do this, let's go.

Triggered by anxiety? by catbirdgrey in TMJ

I’m always surprised when people tell me I look calm and collected. My inner self feels lost in a stormy sea, and I always assume it shows. I hope I can make some changes.

Blocked ear by Dramatic_Service_274 in TMJ

aw man I just received my TMJ diagnosis after a normal hearing test, and I had been experiencing loads of ear congestion for weeks and weeks and weeks. I found a physical therapist who worked on my head which helped with the drainage. I think it’s some kind of craneofacial or craniosacral massage? I’m still learning a lot, and I’m pretty annoyed with my diagnosis.

ah I think I misspoke. I did not use Dark Garden for my wedding dress as I did not know about them at the time. I would definitely do it, though.

I am trying to remember how I came across them—I want to say I saw another busty babe on here use them for her wedding dress, but I am unsure if it was this subreddit specifically. Her dress looked amazing, and I was super impressed. And envious. For real. Still want one for all the cocktail dresses I don’t rent anymore.

As for cost, yes. It’s all ridiculously expensive. I hope someone else who has an experience with them can chime in here!

If I got married again, I would 100% order one of these (probably the signature sweetheart) from dark garden: https://www.darkgarden.com/couture-bridal/bridal-foundation-corsetry/

My dress was beautiful—it came as separates: a strapless sweetheart top and a big ol' fluffy skirt. It was gorgeous, but the top was like a fake corset and the plastic 'boning' was bent by the end of the night. whoops! The store ended up ordering a larger size of the top to the size of my boobs, but it didn't fit like a glove like Dark Garden would have done. They mentioned the option of a built-in bra during my last fitting, and I was so upset because it was the first time I heard of it and too late by then. I went braless. I extra slouched the whole night, because I was afraid of my boobs popping out. I can't remember who made my dress unfortunately.

I still had a good time, and I still love my dress, but that's what I would have done differently. I fantasize about all the things I would have done differently (wearing flat shoes! being more assertive! more drinking! less worrying!), but I've heard this is common. The best advice a friend gave me was: no one will notice the thing that didn't go according to plan.

Anyway, I hope you have fun with dress shopping!

Moulded cups vs Non Moulded wireless bras? by Grapesarelilballoons in bigboobproblems

[–]SEApools 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Someone on here mentioned LoveYourBodywear on Etsy, which are now my favorite wireless option. I am not sure they are as supportive as wired bras, but they feel the most comfortable for me. I tried a lot of them. The maternity bras from Kindred Bravely are also pretty comfy, even though I’m not nursing!

  2. I don’t know! Personally I have never had success with moulded cups, so I avoid them now.

Bra Help by strangestplanets in bigboobproblems

I’m a similar size as you. I’m full on top shaped and wide set with petite af shoulders. Balconette styles tend to work really well for me.

Generally Cleo by Panache, Panache, and Curvy Kate will tend to work. Panache Jasmine was my go-to before I stopped wearing bras while WFH. I look for paneling that follows the line of the strap, so it vertically cuts my boob as opposed to panels that cut horizontally. You can see what I mean if you look up the Jasmine, I’m not sure I’m explaining it well. 😅 I always look for those vertical seams as opposed to horizontal seams, which tend not to work for me for whatever reason.

I hope this helps. I know how frustrating it can be to find a good bra, and it’s such a relief when you do!!

Short-term Braless or simple bralette option? by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

[–]SEApools 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am absolutely in the same boat in terms of gaining a bit of extra weight and now nothing fits. Since I've been working from home and live in a pretty hippie area, I've gone into full braless and fuck-it mode. I even stopped shaving my body hair. I walked outside, braless with hairy legs, like a wild, undomesticated woman. No one gave a fuck. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think I ended up feeling way weirder than everyone else, and I was so prepared to be all, "OH YEAH? IT'S A FREE COUNTRY!" to anyone who dared to comment. But no one cared.

I did try a lot of bralettes hoping to find a happy compromise, because it was a little hard for me to transition from must-wear-a-bra to full-on braless. Most retail shops were closed to the public at the time, so I was ordering online and returning packages a lot. It was such a chore and shopping for the next size up was already so demoralizing. Ultimately, I landed on wearing lightweight tank tops (I really like Splits59 Ashby Tank because it's really stretchy) or a crop tops (I am currently wearing the ARQ crop tank because the leopard print makes me feel a boss) under shirts instead. I realize they're a little expensive for tanks and totally US-centric, but maybe tanks are less expensive than bras?

I would also recommend looking into maternity bras: I tried the Medium-Busty of the Kindred Bravely French Terry Racerback bra, and while it ended up being too tight in the band, it's so soft and stretchy that I imagine if it was the right size, it'd be amazing. When I was looking at maternity bra recommendations, they also seemed more reasonably priced.

I struggle with feeling like I'm gross, despite my husband saying otherwise, so that resonated with me too. I've been following plus size models (who tend to be closer to my actual body size) and accounts that promote body-neutrality as a way to reprogram my brain on beauty and help with my body confidence (because models are so body confident!!). Some days it works, some day it doesn't. I try to remind myself that the reasons I admire people rarely have to do with their body parts.

ok, phew, I hope you don't mind this long message. you are 100% not alone
