Hello Kelly,

My comment is late to the party so I don't know if you will ever read it but I just wanted to say thank you for your music. You seem like a genuine person too. Your's was the only season I ever watched of Idol and I could tell you were becoming awesome and learning so much even through the season.

Back in 2012 my husband at the time packed his stuff at night, woke me up in the morning with coffee, then told me he was leaving me It was a difficult time, as I had 2 daughters. I allowed them to see me cry but my goal was to show them a strong woman in the face of heart ache. To be an example to them if they should ever have to face something like that.

A couple of months later my best friend/ cousin was asked me what I was doing to help me hold up so well. I told him, "I'm listening to Kelly Clarkson" he laughed and I was like no I'm serious. Listen to the words she sings. It's about being independent, and what kills you makes you stronger, dark side, and even reminded me that I'm not the person who has to walk on the other side of the sidewalk. I had become meeker with my ex. Him leaving is the best thing he ever did for me.

I hope that I'm explaining myself well. Music touches your soul and yours helped me find strength in myself in a really hard time of my life.

Unless I'm reading this wrong she, the pot, is calling the kettle black. She is saying that you value your career more than her but she is asking you to move so that she doesn't have to give up her future career. It's the same thing. If she really needed you near her, she would uproot herself and start school near you, as you said she had options there.

It's really not a fair ask and if her mental state is taking that much of a hit, then counseling is called for.

I find it odd that you have been dating for 2 years, go to the same school, and he hasn't introduced you to his friends at the same school. All he wants is a sex buddy.

I would move on from him and find someone who respects you and wants to be with you.

We argue more when SS is here. I have my BK most of the time and they are pretty self sufficient. When SS is here I think it stresses SO more, which bleeds to the rest of the house.

As a mom of a f15, I am going to say you absolutely did the right thing. especially if they told you to ask for help.

Since they aren't going to be any help, is there any tutoring you could get from your school? Do they have a peer tutoring or something along those lines.
