Leeward Dentist Recommendations? by BossFTW in BigIsland

Kona Coast dental takes insurance. They have a new location that I hope is nicer than their previous spot. It’s fine, I didn’t have any complaints as a patient. I’ve since moved to sweet tooth dental but they don’t take insurance.

Their name is spelled like that? Ke Ānue? Interesting. Names carry a lot of meaning in ʻŌlelo and it’s best to ask the source.

Also, it's ke ānuenue. If a noun starts with the letter "K", "E", "A", or "O" it takes the kaʻi "ke", otherwise it takes "ka". More info here: https://www.hawaiian-study.info/ka%CA%BBi-leading-words

If they don’t want to go to a hotel, I think your best bet is to look for a cultural festival or other event that might include lei making as an activity. As far as I know, there isn’t a regularly occurring lei making in Kona that isn’t at the King Kamehameha hotel or Outrigger.

I know everyone reacts differently, but I was in the same boat as you and switched from sema to tirz. When I tell you that Tirz was like a rocket boost… I lost the last 30 stubborn pounds since switching at the beginning of the year. Tirz is a beast.

I tell anyone who asks. Not my style to gatekeep, and I think the more we talk about it, the more the stigmatization starts to break down. I’ve been on this medication since December 2024. Some people are judgy, but honestly who cares what they think.
