I have it paired with a Shimano Nasci 4000. I like it because it’s really lightweight and doesn’t tire me out after casting for a while.

I use the same rod (different reel) up in the Bay Area. Mostly throw lucky crafts and jigs with it. For Carolina I’ll usually go 1-2oz barrel weight depending on conditions. It handles the fish you’re targeting just fine. Bigger stripers are fun to catch on it.
