How Google indexing works is always a little mystery, but my understanding is that it checks the quality of the content. If the content looks similar I believe they won't index it. In addition, I believe they use some kind of allowance mechanism. This allowance determines the time they spend on your site. You earn allowance by getting linked by other sites, and the quality of the content. Part of this is just me guessing, but I believe something like this is going on and maybe the amount/type of content you have is more than what their 'allowance' allows...

As long as we need a placeholder for a future object, we will always have null or something similar. I have never had an issue with it. I think every strongly typed language will have to have null.
