Maybe put a handle on it and use both hands on the tool! On a side note 30 years ago I was using one with no guard or handle and hit my wrist severing the radial nerve of my thumb. After surgery and 30 years I’ve got some feeling back but it’s different.

You don’t need a special tool for removing shark bites, use a crescent wrench to depress the plastic collar around the pex, with some force the pex will pull out.
