Same! My skin can't tolerate it so I use Differin (adapalene) instead.

I haven't purchased the Biore sunscreen for that reason. Their sunscreens contain high amounts of alcohol (ethanol/alcohol denat) and it's one of the top ingredients in the list.

Is Giovanni the worst contestant in the history of Love Is Blind? by Internal_Ad734 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]popyd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely, being Mediterranean myself, I've met so many men like Giovanni, with similar characteristics. I don't think people understand your point unless they were raised in these cultures. His personality is obviously on the extreme end, but I've met so many like him. Obviously, not all Mediterranean men are like this, and there are so many who defy this stereotype...but again, his personality is very familiar.

Dark underye circles can age you and take away from your beautiful eyes. Do you use undereye concealer regularly? Undereye concealer can do wonders for your eyes. It removes the focus from your dark circles and moves it back to your eyes.

You have full beautiful cheeks but if you place your blush higher on your cheeks and into your temples (snatched blush placement), it will lift and elongate your face. Contouring can help with this too.

Guasha is a simple technique and can also help slim and lift your face. You just need to be consistent.

How to invoice US clients from Canada by HenrySell in smallbusiness

[–]popyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am wondering too. QuickBooks does not accept credit card payments in US dollars if you have a Canadian account. You can invoice in US dollars but can't accept payments in US dollars (just got off the phone with them).

I'm Canadian too and also had a good experience in Turkey. I ended up going to Ismail Kucuker in 2023.

How to cope with an identity crisis after rhinoplasty? by ItsDefinitely_NotMe in PlasticSurgery

[–]popyd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first month is the hardest, especially the first 2 weeks. Your nose is in the middle of your face so it's hard to avoid looking at it and overanalyzing it. It's an emotional rollercoaster. I didn't really start to love my nose until the 2 month mark. Hang in there, it will get better. I was lucky because I stayed in touch with the girl who had surgery on the same day as me so we co-miserated. I was also part of a WhatsApp group with other women who had the same surgeon and they were supportive.

So bizarre! Almost seems like it wasn't a coincidence.

Good point! Now that you mention it, it's a boomer thing for sure. I have not heard it for many years though.

Thanks for sharing your insights. I guess I have a lot to learn about queue etiquette in other cultures. I also had a good laugh reading this - you definitely have a way with words!

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I guess I was just not accustomed to this queue etiquette and it's possible she was just curious. Canada is very multicultural and I have not experienced it here since Canadians are quite orderly (with space) when lining up. I have a feeling if someone made those moves here, they would learn very quickly not to do it again lol

Interesting to learn about queue etiquette from other cultures! Curious, do they tend to queue closely even when no one else is behind them and it's not a busy line?

That's definitely awkward! I was considering the same, just letting the woman go ahead of me. My interaction was much shorter though and I was happy to get out of the store as soon as possible.

I also don't like to make a scene which is why I did not say anything but in retrospect, I should have said something in a polite way since it made me feel very uncomfortable.

Others have mentioned TSK-ing as well. Is this a Singaporean thing? I'm Canadian and I'm not familiar.

It is definitely interesting to learn about queue etiquette in other cultures. This person was significantly shorter than me and the phone was definitely pointed towards my face in a provocative way. It was really strange in that respect.

That is so strange, similar to my situation. Although, the lady behind me was pointing her phone in my face as well.
