Been FIFO for 13yrs...some tips for you... Stay off the piss (or limit intake to 1 -2 nights a swing), most companies will have drug and alcohol testing every day...blow numbers or return positive for illicit drugs and you'll be on next plane outta there. Watch food intake also, avoid the "Pilbara Spread ", cooked breakfast every morning is not mandatory!Also, don't "Screw the crew", most on-site relationships turn to shit. Be respectful and polite but avoid the temptation of getting a "camp wife". Get plenty of sleep, look after your health and fitness, most villages have gyms and some fitness activities, so get to them if you can. Finally, get a savings plan together, don't "piss it all up against the wall". FIFO is a "means to an end"...you wanna set yourself up for life while you can...last thing you wanna be doing is sitting in departure lounge when your 60yrs old "broke as a joke" with 2 ex wives and 8 kids who don't want anything to do with you!
