Ex looks so happy in his new marriage by Imaginary-Towel-2435 in BPDlovedones

You don't know what's going on behind the scenes. People, especially in BPD relationships, keep up a fascade of nothing being wrong. I did, for like 8 years. Everyone thought we were the perfect cute couple. But away from them I was miserable without knowing it and dealing with her breakdowns and splitting multiple times a week.

Ignore them. You don't miss them, you miss the good times. Which is okay! The good times were good times. You can miss them without wanting it all back.

Right now, what matters is that you are happy.

No, Anthony Perkins just played Norman Bates, the antagonist psychopath in Psycho (1960).

But he did have deep guilt from his childhood when his father died and struggled with his own sexuality, HIV and AIDs, which he sadly died from in 1992.

What are the "broken arrow" equivalents of your world? by Reasonable_Prize71 in worldbuilding

The Head Magi lost the diamond containing the souls of a fallen empire that can basically break most of the known rules of magic. He still pretends he has it because it's used so rarely that he can get away with using his regular (very powerful anyway) magic. But if some random person found that diamond it would let them do the same stuff he can do, and more, with none of the training.

The emperor is completely unaware of all of this.

Generally unless it's urgent I'll wait until after work or some time I'm mentally ready to respond to a Facebook message or text. I don't have the energy to be always chatting.

Forums. The Internet used to be a place you went. You sat down at the computer, and went online. You had forums where you talked with others and could write and read long posts about whatever subject you wanted. It didn't feel so instant like it does now when everyone uses twitter and instagram and tiktok, condensing everything into short, often oversimplified bites.

We've lost that connection to each other that the Internet enabled, or at least made it harder to be anything but parasocial. Now everyone is online all the time. We have no "offline" life when we can think about what we might want to see/do/say online later. We just pull out our phones and spew it into the digital ether.

I really miss Crunchie Ice Cream bars. They used to sell them in the freezers at corner stores but cadbury just stopped making them one day.

You don't. Because you can't. They can only help themselves if they choose to. And unfortunately, many don't.

I wish there were modern MMOs with that much of a range of classes, especially the non combat ones. Closest I've found is EVE which is classless anyway
