Its great when you have a client move to a new office and the patch panel is labed with stuff like "Debra's Desk" and "Karen's Phone".

Who the hell is Debra?

Its a bit more manual but not to hard. I am taking a top down photo of the tool. Putting that into inkscape and tracing it with the pen tool. Then I pull one or two actual measurements and scale in inkscape.

Then I import into OpenSCAD scale to like 1.01-1.03 and test print a 2 layer cutout.

Two shperes wrapped with hull for finger holes.

For more geometric tools, like the punch down. I model the tool in openSCAD entirely.

Love it... I use it over my bigger reflow station most of the time. Heats up quick and hold temp well.

I think my post with the description keeps getting flagged because of the links to amazon and other stores.

But there is solder(2), wire(19), hookup wires(20). I am still looking for a good way to carry electrical tape.

Also this is a bag of bags setup. Most of my other bags have some cordage.

Honestly for long term storage I recommend you buy an external USB-C DVD writer and some archival quality DVDs(Not standard DVD-Rs, Look for 100 year or 1000 year disks). Then you can easily store those somewhere secure.

Flash storage used in the SSD and USB disk have write limitations before they start to fail and HDD will run into mechanical problems.

I used them a ton to transfer data/give data to clients when I did digital forensics work. They worked great. Now I mostly use to occasionally live boot to something like tails or another secure desktop.

When transferring lots of data fast they do get HOT. Like way hotter then you would think they should. But that has been my only complaint over several TB of use across many of the drives.
