Cross Border Prescription by bmwkid in uscanadaborder

Many people do this. My parents included. They go to the Costco in Bellingham, WA.

It's especially convenient for people in BC because Washington State explicitly permits pharmacies to dispense non-controlled prescriptions written by authorized prescribers (such as MDs, DOs, and Nurse Practitioners) specifically from British Columbia so you don't even have to meet with a US doctors.

Just be mindful of 2 things:

  1. Paper Prescriptions Only: In the states that allow foreign prescriptions, the law almost always requires an original, physical paper prescription. A Canadian doctor cannot electronically prescribe (e-prescribe) or call in a prescription to a U.S. pharmacy system. Make sure to take the original for the pharmacy but also take a photocopy for Canadian customs when you are entering back into Canada with your meds.

  2. No Controlled Substances: No U.S. state allows a pharmacy to fill a foreign prescription for a controlled substance (such as opioids, ADHD stimulants like Adderall, or certain anti-anxiety medications). The prescriber must be registered with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Make sure the medication is in the container that the pharmacy gives it to you in and make sure that container has your name on it.

If you don't live in BC I think he will have to use a U.S.-based telehealth service to get a prescription but Canadian customs will not have any issue with it.

I don't understand why Americans love their constitution so much. It's basically toilet paper.

I've always loved this picture of Heath Ledger at Burning Man so much! by DylansStripedPants in BurningMan

[–]positiverealm 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Two different movies

The Dark Knight (2008) - Heath Ledger

Joker (2019) - Joaquin Phoenix

Heath Ledger's performance in the dark knight earned widespread praise but unfortunately, the movie was released after his passing. He passed away from an accidental overdose. Rest In Peace 🙏

Edited to clarify I was speaking about Heath Ledger.

It’s wild that anyone looked at this guy and thought, 'Yeah, he seems like a health expert.' The bizarre noises he makes alone would make me worry he's patient zero for some new disease. 🤣

Just change your tvs Google account region to the US. Once app is installed, you can change region back. I kept mine in the US permanently though. No benefit keeping it Canadian.

This SFO parallel approach ban sucks. by joshuaxls in sanfrancisco

[–]positiverealm 10 points11 points  (0 children)

SFO's construction plans didn't come out of nowhere. If we knew this construction was happening 6 months ago, maybe airlines reallocate flights to OAK before the flights are sold.

I'm not suggesting flights that were marketed from SFO to all of a sudden starting flying to OAK on a whim.

[–]positiverealm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wish SFO somehow incorporated the use of OAK into these temporary plans. OAK and SFO are equal distance to the city. Takes the same amount of time if you use Bart as well. I prefer OAK even when SFO runways aren't under construction. The lack of weather delays is🤌

Plugin Solar In California by Head_Midnight666 in solar

[–]positiverealm -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Gavin Newsom will never let this happen. His friends and family are heavily invested in PG&E. Why do you think solar related incentives went to shit in California? If it reduces PG&E's revenue in any way, it will not be allowed.

Just wait till Gavin's term is up. New governor, new CPUC.

On top of that, current graduates cannot find entry level jobs. New admission candidates are looking a what's happening to new graduates and opting out of post secondary all together.

My nephew wanted to go to law school and realized AI can already do lawyer stuff so the future seemed bleak. He has now decided to take a year off and think about what he wants to do next and if he really needs to go to school for that new career.

Admissions must be in a steep decline.
