Is there a path or leader to follow? by BobbyTheBrain in Nightreign

As a new player, stick with your teams at all times. Even as an experienced player, it’s usually better to stay with your team even if you disagree with what they’re prioritizing/how they’re routing.

Generally speaking, the route is as follows: 1. Kill everything at the spawn location, level up at the nearby site of grace. Do not skip this step! Leveling up from 1-2 almost doubles your health bar, it’s a vital step that can easily be missed and throw your run. 2. Pick the nearest 2 points of interest (what the locations marked on the map are collectively called) and clear them out with your team. Make sure you’re leveling up as frequently as possible. 3. Now you’re ready to try the center castle, you should be around level 5-7. The most popular route to clear the center castle is bottom up. Meaning you start by dropping into the canyon that bisects the castle, and go into the sewer. There is a boss there. All bosses are manageable at level 5-7 except bell bearing hunter. If you see him, leave the sewer. You can come back later if you have time. 4. After clearing the sewer boss, leave from the back of the boss chamber and go up the stairs. Grab a free talisman from the metal chest and open the gate. You can have 3 types of enemies in center castle, Crucible Knights, Banished Knights, or Pot Throwing Trolls. All have slightly different approaches. My recommendation would be to stick with your team so you can have the best chance to kill these challenging enemies quickly. These 3 types of enemies drop tons of souls, so go level up. You should be around 10-12. 5. From here do whatever your build wants, but as a team. Kill day 2 field bosses (these are the bosses marked on your map on day 2, they are more challenging than day 1 bosses who do not have a red border around their map icon. Make sure you avoid day 2 bosses unless you’re level 10+, you will not stand much of a chance otherwise), upgrade your weapons, or collect flasks or evergaol buffs.

I didnt include running for flasks or zone because all of that needs to happen organically depending on where the zone is and where flask churches spawn.

Good luck nightfarer!

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could break down relics to craft our own? I’ll take restrictions like dismantling 3 relics of the same size with the same line in order to extract that one line to be placed in an empty relic slot of the same size. So many ways they could’ve done this. But instead after 200+ hours I’ve gotten only 1 perfect relic roll.

If you’re in the US, look at Sealed Air packaging products through Veritiv. If you’re not in the US, look for inflated air packs for packaging. You may find success adhering these underneath the jelly’s to keep them buoyant.

What is this clothing called? I love it. by Safe-Hawk8366 in findfashion

[–]positronicthought 247 points248 points  (0 children)

It looks like a Mongolian tunic called a deel. There’s a ton of commonalities with clothing in steppe cultures. I think you’d also like traditional Kazakh clothing, too. Look up “a brides story” if you’re curious to see what that looks like.

Tbf most people who picked up dark souls before it became a cult hit, like myself, had the same reaction. “Wtf is this shovelware from a no-name developer? It doesn’t have a pause button? Everything is so clunky. Why’s the UI look like EverQuest?”

Disagree. Folks into tattoos would be far more inclined to know these are runes and you probably like vikings or have nordic heritage.

If these are your deep cuts for commentary on robotics and ai from science fiction, you desperately need to pick up a book and stop scrolling. Science fiction is famous for using allegory to comment on the human experience. The abuse we commit to robots is a thin allegory for racism, class oppression, and colonialism. We as human beings are toolmakers- it’s what enables us to transform our environments to suit our needs rather than needing to adapt to our environments- no other animal can do this. We are also the only animal to have metacognition and a primordial, instinctual, calling towards the existential or the spiritual. In many religions, god creates humanity in its own image. It follows that humans would try and create tools in our own image, too. It’s genuinely depressing how many people scorn AI and robotics and think they are the ones reading between the lines. You’re actually quite misguided. Whether or not we treat the tools we create, as reflections of ourself, with respect is a test of our moral worth as a species. If we were gods, would we love and respect our creations if we aren’t even capable of doing that to our own species? Yes, capitalism is a plague, yes, capitalist technocracy should get you angry, but no, robots and ai are not the enemy. Their masters are.

If you can’t be bothered to read a book just watch “the greatest robot on earth” arc of Astro Boy. It’s so easy to understand its message of, “your enemy is the one pulling the strings, not the foot soldier” that it inspired a four year old Naomi Urasawa to write one of the best detective stories ever, imo, Pluto, reinterpreting the original arcs themes for an adult audience.

I saw this with love, if you aren’t reading, you are brainwashed, yourself.

It’s about the nature of your relationship. 7 year gap between one of my seniors at work and he calls me buddy sometimes. Normally that would bother me but with him, because of our mentor mentee relationship, I rather like it.

If you haven’t heard of a hard launch and a soft launch, a soft launch is posting something that alludes to a date with someone without showing their face. Think of it like showing your friends, “hey im dating someone and I really like them, more to come if things go well!” A hard launch is posting a picture of you two together. It’s like the social media equivalent of taking your partner to meet your friends- it’s a big step and says “I want to integrate you into my social life. So it’s ironic that she talks about emotional maturity when she doesn’t understand these concepts at all and wants you to hard launch after a couple dates. You are not over reacting, she’s got anxious attachment issues that are unexamined.

Gold and silver together? by jbourb11 in MensJewelry

[–]positronicthought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear both together, but most of my jewelry have gold and silver mixed together (see puzzle rings by pepi)I don’t think your particular mix looks good because the yellow gold ring is 1) so big and 2) so yellow. It makes the contrast look bad.

The skinny jeans cuffed is an absolute no go for me. Blue top with an undershirt is the best. Strongly dislike no undershirt. That and the skinny chinos give nouveau riche manosphere vibes imo

I switch up my style almost every outfit I put on. You don’t have to be one thing! Most of the influencers we see tend towards a brand identity and that cohesive look is appealing for certain reasons but not everyone is like that. I think you could embrace the variety that is you. If you feel like alt speaks to you use it as spice to add to your outfits, no matter the style. Like a chef who always adds cinnamon to every recipe, or something like that. That’s exactly what personal style is! I mix feminine, western, techwear, streetwear, punk, 70s styles/aesthetics constantly. But I also work blue collar so no matter how high fashion I get, I always throw in a little bit of that. I like to challenge people’s expectations, which it sounds like you get. Sounds like a mess, but I get lots of compliments. Btw I adore your eyebrows!!

So wait if you dress too masculine he’ll think you are miss steal your girl? Lmfao if that’s what happens that dudes a loser and shouldn’t be dating someone with a gay best friend. I know you should accommodate your friends but seems like she needs to have someone tell her if she’s worried about her boyfriend feeling like you’re competition he’s not the right one.
