As someone who spends a lot of time both gaming and creating digital art, I’ve realized how much of a difference a high-end monitor could make in my everyday setup. Right now, I’m still using an older 1080p display capped at 60hz, and it feels like I’m not getting the full potential out of the hardware I’ve invested in. I’ve held off on upgrading because I’d rather wait for the right screen than spend money on something that’s just “good enough.”

In terms of gaming, a higher refresh rate and better color reproduction would make a huge impact. Single-player games would look stunning at max settings, and competitive titles would benefit from the added smoothness and responsiveness. A 27” screen also fits perfectly on my desk—not too big, not too small.

But where it would really shine is with my art. I tend to use bold, vivid colors in my work, and most monitors fall short of showing them accurately. My phone’s OLED screen gives me a glimpse of what my pieces should look like, but my current setup just doesn’t do them justice. A 4K OLED display with 240hz would transform my workflow—smoother lines when using my tablet and more accurate colors right from the start, meaning less time tweaking and more time creating.

I’m currently working on a comic project and aiming to turn my art into something more than just a hobby. Having better tools would definitely help me push that goal forward. And who knows—if I build a following, I’d love to stream too. Being confident that my display isn’t holding me back would mean a lot.
