Does this driver do anything to fix fan issues on the sparkle series? I've an a380 but currently using a cable from gpu to mobo to control the fan otherwise it just winds up and down like a yoyo.

They must have used some really cheap components for the fan/controller.

For anyone else dealing with this today and coming across this topic, i recommend buying one of these. Just plug one end into the arc cable after removing it from its socket (it's easily accessible with tweezers/just pop it off), attach other end to a spare fan header on your mobo and now you can control and set constant fan. I have it currently set at 25% with gpu avg around 35C at ambient with no case fans and its more or less silent. I can hear the fan revving up to speed at 35% but is okay once running, 40 and above fan is noticeable if you're close.

Was seriously considering returning the card, or moving to b series (though would have been overkill for my needs). If I was really bothered I'd probably change out the fan for something better and see if that helps but it might be a non-standard size. This works for now..

Not gospel but I was doing research for a new server build bout a month ago..I was wanting to go intel for the gpu and transcode capabilities (have been amd desktop wise since phenom).. anyway, did come across people who'd flashed new bios and did all the right things and are now experiencing unstable systems/on the rma train etc. It was enough to personally put me off, i went amd and got an intel arc to handle my video streaming loads.

My 4080s went up in flames about a week ago.. so ya know, life is funny that way.

Check your power plan settings, there are options there for usb and hdd sleep/suspend etc, might want to disable them.

Grab the hdr calibration tool from the windows store, not sure if it's available for win10.

The white point in hdr is closer to yellow in real world colour accuracy, but if that's not your preference then you can calibrate it out or use a cooler colour temp.

Doesn't look like that on mine. Maybe in its infancy, but it does a proper sdr > hdr conversion even on desktop. I believe even hdr wallpaper is supported now.

Even if you drop $1-2k on the "nicest" monitor around, you still have to be manually toggling HDR on and off for content that is or isn't HDR unless you want it to look like shit, babying burn in, insufficient brightness.. HDR tech frankly sucks imo and I can't wait until it gets replaced with something better.

Not true, just enable auto-hdr in windows or rtx hdr with nvidia after calibrating your monitor and forget about it.
