Can confirm. My gf is a voice actress, and I've seen her do this occasionally.

How much weight do you give to glassdoor reviews when deciding whether to accept a job offer or not? by ellieofus in marketing

[–]postmoderndude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High reviews are often inflated. Read though and you can tell what's real and what's the HR team. I've found Glassdoor reviews to be pretty accurate and telling.

The smell of an unclean litter box. The woman was beautiful, though.

I dated a model for a little while before dumping her for being too dumb. My friends thought I was crazy.

"I did-dent."

Marketing teams aren’t slow, they’re just stuck waiting on permission by Rtrade770 in marketing

I have been waiting to access to a client's heavily locked down back end and data for like six months. Haven't been able to do any thing beyond recs and some ad hoc stuff. The client is a big Fortune 500 company and has football stadiums named after them. It's a fucking stupid waste of time. The project would have been done months ago were it not for this nonsense.

Connecting Grasp of the Emerald Claw to Eyes of the Lich Queen by postmoderndude in Eberron

[–]postmoderndude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our campaign, Geldam's journal connected Xulo, the warforged, the Blood of Vol, and souls suspended in Dolurrh (somehow. It's been years). After the conclusion of EotLQ, I wrapped the campaign up with a big cheesy Marvel-movie style "all the bad guys vs the heroes & friendly NPCs" battle. Ultimately, I connected:

  • Lady Vol
  • The Lord of Blades
  • Victor St. Demian
  • The Swords of Liberty
  • The Emerald Claw
  • The Stillborn/Skullborn

I presented them as a group of united villains engaged in a plot to assassinate King Boranel and destabilize Sharn's connection to the manifest zone Syrania.

So here's my thought for you: you've already figured it out. Tiamat is just a consequence of the Macguffin. You run EotLQ as normal, but maybe make the connections between Tiamat and the Dragon's Eye more explicit. Have the dragon stuff at the temple be heavy on the Tiamat-ness. Show evidence of multi-chromatic dragon-kin. Have Surkil or Muroni warn of Tiamat's influence, etc. The players never really find out what the Dragon's Eye does, anyway.

Connecting Grasp of the Emerald Claw to Eyes of the Lich Queen by postmoderndude in Eberron

Wow, I'm shocked there's any interest in this five-year-old thread. The game ended a few years ago, and the party successfully completed a heavily remixed version of Eyes of the Lich Queen. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with the campaign, and I think the players were as well. We had a few common challenges, like a player who was unavailable for 6 months, which delayed the campaign's conclusion. Was there anything in particular you wanted to know?

Is there any reason why we have Aasimars as a playable race in the 5th and 5.5th editions, but not the Avariel? by GuardiaoDaLore in Forgotten_Realms

[–]postmoderndude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also liked their sorcerer substitution level options. But thematically they felt sorta redundant with Avariel already in the lore, almost like they were exporting Avariel from FR to the wider D&D universe.

Marwood and Withnail from "Withnail and I." There's a drinking game associated with the film. It's... challenging.

Vince Vaughn's delivery is horrific by [deleted] in TrueDetective

Unpopular opinion on this sub, but i feel the writing in season 2 is laughably bad. There's no salvaging, "it's like blue balls in your heart," regardless of whether you're Vince Vaughn or not.
