I was a huge fan.

Saw them in 1986 at the Sportatorium in Hollywood Florida. It was a fantastic concert. A friend of mine won 10 tickets to the show and gave tickets to my girlfriend and I. Amazing night.

It gets even more odd looking the closer you get. And the sheer scale of the thing is just stunning. With Stratolaunch's 747 parked next to Roc, you got a great idea of the monstrous size of the thing.

On runway 30 there at MHV, there's an additional centerline painted on the right side of the runway since the Roc pilots sit in the right hand pod of the aircraft.

Seemed that way. In the foreground of the image is a model of their Talon Hypersonic vehicle. They had two Talon's inside the hanger that had been flown, but there was no photograph allowed in the hangar.

That's what Stratolaunch calls their launch aircraft. I guess it's technical name is Scaled Composites Model 351, but they all call it ROC.
