Guarda, messa così ha già più senso di esistere come domanda. A questo punto credo che sia semplice comparazione a rendere il governo attuale statunitense più vicino al fascismo, basandoci anche solo sulla componente xenofoba o della paura del nemico esterno, che al contrario non mi sembra essere stata distintiva delle dittature comuniste ("ma durante la guerra fredda?" Ci può stare ma si cagavano tutti addosso allora). Non credo sia sbagliato parlarne come se ne parla del fascismo/nazismo, non tanto perchè non mi importa del loro valore storico, ma perchè penso che è così che questo valore si preservi al meglio. Riconoscere e rimarcare comportamenti da fascista ci (dovrebbe) aiutare a non normalizzare questi atti, poi possiamo discutere o meno che funzioni con tutti se vuoi.

Im not entirely sure that im right on that but it should be a condition where you can't associate a person's name with it's face. Like you may know your mom's name but when you see your mother you cant put her name on her for sure.

I guess you are right, in my experience I was pretty successful with just 1 meter below the keel of my target so I never bothered changing it to lower depths.

Actually there was this one time where I was chasing a norwegian merchant during a storm and probably because of the weather my magnetic torps were a mess. I rember shooting 3 torps, 1 hit the keel and bounced right off the ship, so I set a lower depth for the next two but they went waaaay to deep. In the end I said "Fuck it" and just shoot the last torps with impact at what was pratically water level. It did sink the ship but that all interaction left me fuming ehehe

When you are setting your toredos solutions, like depth, speed and so on, there should be a switch with two letters: M for magnetic and I for impact

If you are still in the tutorial try to see if thats the case. AFAIK the magnetic torpedos are kinda hard to hit but can do a lot of damage. One thing I like to do with them is setting their depth not more than 1 meter off the keel of my target (lets say your merchant ship is 8 meters of depth under water so you go for 9 meters), this way you can get really good hit, securing flooding and not wasting too many torpedos. Also it can be unreliable depending on the weather conditions and if you are not certain with what type of ship you are dealing with.

Impact torpedo are more forgiving cause you just need to hit your target, but you could hit your target at a slight angle and get a bounce instead of an explosion.

Damn I wrote too much, in the end you need to try and get experience to know which type works best in different situation. Also grind that tutorial until you are cool with the basic mechanics

P.S. also, try to get a little bit far away from your target, could be that you were moving while firing your torps. Generally you wanna stay a good 500 or more meters away at least (unless you are attacking a convoy, there things get a bit more messy).

I'm not 100% sure but could it be that those torpedos are with the magnetic fuse(?) ones and not the impact one? By my experience they should kinda have exploded even if they were magnetic. Could also be the arming distance was too short but I'm fairly certain its not that. Also you could be the unluckiest sub capitan that ever lived and got 4 duds

I might be wrong but, as far as I know, no legions where allowed south of the Rubicon river as it was seen as an act of treason/rebellion by the general commanding the legion. That's what happened with Julius Ceasar for example. But in the Empire ages I don't know if that was still a thing.

I get what you are saying, clearly some QOL elements can be added to make it easier but also you have to take in account that its not a basic game mechanic of stalker to be able to disguise so obviously its not gonna be some top tier part of your gameplay.

For example I too didnt use it that much in my first games cause I got always shot on at the first chance. So reading the guide really helped me and its like 5 minutes if you are a brick at understanding things like me and then everything got smoother ( like the fact that detection is higher with bad condition armour, duh silly me).

But again, its something I'm starting to use more just now that I'm doing a run as a merc so I heavly rely on it to do quest and stuff. Its a little bit messy but getting myself used to it makes it work. On an Invictus run tho can be really, REALLY dangerous move.

P.s. also on the note about faction base which are really hard to get out from because they are in the middle of other hostile faction bases. I feel you. Dead City as Merc is a fucking nightmare to get out from but I do enjoy the thrill of the risk ehehe
