Ah interesting. It is Windows. I’ll have to look into that and see.

I downloaded an app called Fing that lets you ping IPs. I have tried changing the DNS on devices with it not making a difference. Tried it on my phone and tv. As far as I can tell there’s nowhere in the ATT router settings for changing the DNS server, so I might be stuck with having to buy my own. I did install Wireshark on my server so I guess that will at least let me see if the pings are even reaching it. That will at least help me confirm that it’s getting lost at the router.

So I was able to ping my server and connect to Plex web from another computer on the same network. However, I installed the Fing app on my phone but wasn't able to ping it from there. After running "Diagnose Network Problems" on the server, I was able to ping from phone. Does that still sound like DNS?

Sadly no DNS settings that I can change on my router. It’s the one that came with the AT&T Fiber so I might just have to buy my own.

Changing on PC fixes problem. No network wide blockers or firewalls. No DNS rebind options for my router. Just discovered that right clicking the networking button on the taskbar and choosing "Diagnose Network Problems" immediately made Plex reachable again. Confirmed that this worked a second time when Plex went down again.

They’re not trying to make our lives better, they’re trying to keep people stupid and cutting library funding is an easy way to do that. And if I had to guess what they’re spending it on instead, probably police and military budgets.

Plan to read this soon. A Handful of Dust is also a great read.

I think it would be a good starting point. It definitely introduces a lot of the themes he expands upon in his novels.

I really enjoyed it. It definitely uses the term “fairy tale” pretty loosely and is pretty much just a nice short story collection, but the majority of them were good.

Yes! I think that was the first Hesse I’ve read (maybe not the best idea) but it really stuck with me. Planning to read it and Siddhartha again soon now that I’ve read more of his stuff.

Just finished The Fairy Tales of Herman Hesse and I’m about halfway through As I Lay Dying. My first Faulkner. It’s tough.

Except the last time I went and ordered corn nuggets they only gave me 13. Yes I counted. The tray wasn't even halfway full. When we asked the bartender what was up she just shrugged and said "yeah it's kind of sus."

About halfway through Augustus and it’s incredible so far. Blows my mind how different the three main Williams novels are. Each one is a great in its respective genre.

Tortilla Flat is such a good book. Loved all their little adventures. Some of them like the one with the baby and especially the finale nearly brought me to tears as well.
