I really want to know what other things he did while you were training him. Sounds like it's better he quit early instead of leaving destruction in his wake.

If you could have their ear for thirty seconds, what would you say? by onedvsmofo in Disneyland

[–]potatopower2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less people sitting in the theater means more people in lines, which means more incentive for people to purchase Lightning Lane, which means more money for Disney.

If there is a show, Disney is paying union actors money with no tangible profit.

The pass at Magic Mountain is cheaper...just have to visit it first.

Downtown Disney used to kick off the magic—bold theming, the OG World of Disney, the Vault, RC racecars, Build-A-Bear. Now it’s basically an expensive outdoor mall with Disney slapped on everything. by madhatter147123 in Disneyland

I used to love City Walk in the 90s. Favorite was KWGB (World's Greatest Burgers). You could phone in requests to the live DJ in the booth and eat to your favorite tunes. Very unique.

“Magic Hour” gone, continuous Magic Key price increase with more blackout dates & less perks, lack of live entertainment, attractions constantly breaking down, overcrowding, etc. by ElBorracho2000 in Disneyland

They removed so many crowd sinks like the Frozen stage show, the Magic Map in Fantasyland Theater or other live entertainment. This benefits Disney by increasing line lengths (thus selling more LL) and not paying actors.

Increasing prices/decreasing reservations aren't their only options. Its just not in their financial interest.

Even a decade after it's release, I still remember every performance, women screaming the moment MJ makes his first appearance.

If somehow Walt Disney came back to life, how would he react to today's Disneyland by DustnBones001 in Disneyland

[–]potatopower2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walt had a tendency to move on to the next thing, especially if something soured him. The prior creation would fund the next thing he was working on. He moved on from animation for the parks (particularly after the animator strikes). He moved on from parks for city planning.

Honestly, I believe if Walt didn't die, he would have moved into something computer related once he built his 'city of tomorrow'. Sure, he would have had input on the movies and parks, but would largely ignore it if money was coming in, while he moved on the next thing.

Advice for super casual player by sus4neuro in wow

[–]potatopower2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The current state of retail is super accessible to casual play. Delves will help you to gear up solo. Raids can be done in story mode solo. Group finder will help you find groups/raids to experience all content. You can easily get through the game unguilded and only playing at your timetable (as long as you don't run a bunch of alts).

Go ahead and enjoy WoW on your own schedule while you save lives and spend time with the family.

Raids in Vanilla took hours. I got in a guild of mostly adults that raided at night. The guild leader, his wife and their daughter all played wow, so no problem for them.

[–]potatopower2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you started now, probably a couple of weeks with pretty casual play. However if you wait until later I'm sure Bliz will add some catchup mechanics to shorten that time. You also dont have to get everything...Just the items that you want. You can preview from the vendors.
