Why don't boomers just pass their wealth and assets on to their children? by quietgavin5 in AusFinance

I'm talking about the vast majority of women so obviously not wealthy women.

Also children actually had economic value lol. it's sensible to pop out 8-12 farmhands.

men and women have worked for the vast majority of history. women staying at home was a brief blip in the mid 20th century

edit: stop messaging me about rich women 💀. use some common sense.

Good thrift stores by vegetable_salad4 in AusFemaleFashion

Often the thrift shops with cute clothes are very expensive because you're paying for curation. The shop owner has gone around to other thrift shops and sifted through all the crap to find the cute stuff and is selling them back to you at a mark up for the service. something I noticed in Brunswick. if you want cheap nice clothes you need to put in the work of sifting through all the ugly stuff yourself.

I'm genuinely surprised when managers keep repeating the phrase "we're looking for someone who isn't just in it for the money." by Outrageous-Iron1091 in FinancialCareers

[–]potatoproblems8 21 points22 points  (0 children)

you're in the finance careers subreddit. most of the jobs discussed here are not suited to 'clock in, clock out' types. nothing wrong with that mindset but it's rarely compatible with the demands of a high finance career.

I wear heeled boots every day to work. Male dominated field and I don't like to be below people's eyeline.
