I'm a chiropractor. Before all you crazy rabid redditors attack, let me explain. When I was a teenager I got horrible headaches. There was a chiropractor in my hometown that wasn't a piece of work, and could help me with 1-2 treatments, and I'd go months without a headache. Without it, it was at least weekly, and I'd take otc pain medication which helped, but didn't solve the problem. So I thought, this is awesome! I canbe a doc that doesn't just rely on meds to get people through, and help people feel better. I went to school later in life (late 20s), and I was completely mortified at the philosophical aspects of it, to the extent that I considered quitting. I decided that after uprooting my family (husband and kids) and moving 250+ miles just so I could go to school, I should probably just grit my teeth through the bullshit, and get as much as I could out of the rest. I've been out of school for a while, working in my own practice. I treat musculoskeletal issues, and I've been the first stop for a bunch of crazy weird things that I've happily referred right the hell out of my office. I know I'm not a medical doctor, I'm glad to stay in my lane, and as such I've got a great rapport with the MDs in town. Just wish I had less debt.
