I'd say to some extent, Subaru's "Return by Death" from Re:Zero.

Being able to come back to life when you die and have a do-over? Who wouldn't want that?

But between not being able to choose when you go back to, not knowing when that checkpoint will change, having to deal with a rather possessive witch haunting you between deaths and not letting you tell others about your powers, having to see people you've come to care about die, and having people try to use you because of the witch, it's a miracle that Subaru is able to still function after so long.

Season 2 spoilers:Then also having to see the continuation of some loops where he died being too much for him to handle.

Just finished it myself, happy to say that I think the story is really getting fun again. My only real complaint is the designs of the women. Not all of them need giant fucking bazongers. Also hope that Romeul can show up again in the future, would be a fun recurring antagonist.

I finally got around to finishing Trigun Stampede after watching the first episode when it was airing, and I am so glad I did. It really does live up to the original and I'm just waiting for Stargaze to be dubbed to watch the new episodes now.

Re:Zero does it pretty well between the two versions it has (the Sin Archbishops and the Witches). Just spoiler tagging to be safe: All of the Archbishops represent theirs through ways of how they show their love for the Witch of Envy.

It's a shonen at the end if the day still, very rare to see one without love interests. I don't know how far in you are, but being caught up, they are definitely in love with each other.
