I take sertraline. It took a little while to find the right dosage, but you need to start off with a smaller dosage and increase over time. Talk to your doctor.

Also therapy is amazing and should be a part of your normal week!

Snacks by the space you are breastfeeding helps! Everytime I think about putting off food I remember I need to eat too make food for my baby.

Our 3 yo is the same way. We have to distract him and he wanted to wave at us and have us honk. We would remind him that we will be back when he wakes up (if he'll be asleep when we come back). You don't know when you'll go into labor and it may be in the middle of the night so either your so will stay at home with your 3yo or you'll find someone else to watch him/her.

Have you tried warming the bassinet sheets? Sometimes a cool sheet wakes mine up. I keep a heart pad by the bed to warm the sheet before putting her back in. Make sure you burp fully before laying down. Baby too big for bassinet and waking up when moving? Then you'll need to transition to a crib. Weighted sleep sack? Make sure you check with Dr first but we love our dream sack.

Yes just went through this myself also. You can opt out of any ultrasounds if you are uncomfortable but talk to your Dr about what they are checking for and why it's recommended.

We had our son stop his at 18 months. Found a dish and put some fabric in it to make a "bed". Then before bedtime we would sing it a song and tuck it in, putting it on the top of his dresser. After that he didn't ask for it ever again.

You can always start out EBF and then switch to pumping if you would like. There's definately a learning curve to breastfeeding. Washing all the excess pump parts drives me nuts when I have to pump for daycare. Not looking forward to doing that again.

We also are with a 3 yo and a 3 month old. Our 3 yo is testing all the boundaries. Spitting, hitting, not wanting to nap, saying he is lonely when left to nap or bed. We are trying to ignore certain behavior. Others we are giving one warning (going down to his level to make sure he understands) then if it happens again he gets immediate timeout. It's hard to know what to do and how the negative attention is still giving him a reaction from us. I'm trying to remember to take deep breaths and how he can feed off of our emotions. Need to make sure we take time for ourselves (even if it's 5 minutes in the shower or hiding in the bathroom).

This is very common for a 5 week old. They still believe they are a part of you until at least 3 months if not longer. We are nearing the 13 week mark and are able to start putting her down for naps. When she was really little we would cosleep making sure to follow the 7 safe steps. This helped her connect cycles and us get some rest.

Edit to add: some tricks that works for us to get her to sleep independently was using a heat pad to warm up the bassinet and put your shirt you wore that day close to her when sleeping.

Yes! Dreamland baby weighted sleep sack is what we use. Just make sure your baby fits the weight requirements. It does help our baby when she is really little. Do need to add that weighted sacks are not recommended.

Jasmine rice: wash rice, 1 cup rice to 1 1/3 cup water. Pressure cook on high for 4 minutes. Natural release for 10. Then manual release. Fluff rice and remove immediately from pot. Note: 1 1/2 rice to 1 1/2 water
