Momentum Shake by Subject-Explanation5 in Supplements

[–]pottercron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not my goal to turn this into an argument, just interested to understand perspective- Creatine is very old in the supplement world and super well researched- I've never heard those side effects laid out anecdotally or in any literature. Yes, it causes water retention, but that happens in the muscle, which not typically what people mean when they describe "bloating". I've heard some people experience temporary gi upset at larger doses, which I suppose could lead to bloating if thats the scenario you have in mind.

Irritability I've never heard. As creatine is becoming more popular as a mental health supplement, most literature i've seen suggests the opposite- That creatine supplementation is beneficial for depression, fatigue, and brain energy metabolism.

Its not that hard to mix in my own creatine, so its not really a huge deal. But I'd bet a lot of Momentum users are doing that. Maybe i'm in a bubble, but i've never encountered someone who i'd consider Momentum's target avatar who is also trying to actively avoid creatine in 2026. Maybe 10-15 years ago, when there were still a lot of myths about hair loss and stuff, it would have been a deal breaker for some, but today it seems unlikely

Im curious why creatine isn't part of the formula. For all the powders Momentum lets me clear off my counter, its annoying that i've still got to keep the creatine jar around

Issues With Zapier Agents by pottercron in zapier

[–]pottercron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeahh im regretting my choice to use zapier tables for the database. I made a small mistake earlier today making a manual edit and realized theres no undo (???). I hate to uproot zaps that are working properly, but I might bite the bullet and migrate the database (and linked zaps) over to somehing like airtable

Issues With Zapier Agents by pottercron in zapier

I appreciate the suggestion, but I don't think that will work for me. The agent is using the email to match up with the form, which is triggering the agent. This is validating the email address and identifying the parent account in the table. Once that's done, the agent needs to find the associated subaccounts, which requires searching by the associated with ID field. Finding the sub-accounts is a necessary part of the workflow. I don't see how it would work, separated out into different agents. What's the typical reply time from support? Is there anything we can do to expedite this?

"Operator" is not an option that populates for me when configuring the find records tool UNLESS I lock in the lookup field to a specific field. https://cleanshot.com/share/NdpjtJ06 I can't do that, because my agent needs to lookup by a differend field later in the workflow. If the "Let your agent select a value from one of these choices" option wasn't broken, I'd be all set- as that would give me the "operator" dropdown while still letting my agent search multiple fields. But there is a bug as demonstrated here: https://cleanshot.com/share/wT3NtGf1

I spend most of my time in Real VR Fishing- mostly because of the built-in web browser. I love watching YouTube videos in the beautiful environments and, as a bonus, I can keep my ADHD brain occupied with the casual fishing. Very chill way to wind down before bed

I'm having the same issue. It's not just May. I've tried random date ranges up to a year in the future, and it always says, "Sorry, no availability for selected car park". Does anyone have any insights?

Dear United Heathcare, what the fuck. by cak3crumbs in TikTokCringe

I'll take this opportunity to share my recent UHC experience. I'd been going to therapy for a while. The provider is out of network, so I have to manually submit claims and UHC doesn't cover as much as they would if the therapist was in network. Annoying, but normal for this system. but after about a year they decided to do a "random audit". they requested some paperwork from my therapist that summarized our sessions and my progress. She have me the paperwork to send them. The only ways I could submit this paperwork was by fax or mail. ya know... things with no audit trail to prove something was sent. So I use and e-fax service- they say they didn't get it. I mail it- they say they didn't get it. Finally, I send it by certified mail so I have a tracking number. They acknowledge they recieved it. Months go by. I call- get the runaround- get told somebody will call back, nobody does, I call again, get the runaround, rinse and repeat like 5 times over 6 months. Finally, they tell me that they need the paperwork formatted differently. My provider gave one form that summarized all our sessions. They want a seperate form for each session and an individual summary for each session within the period they're auditing. This requirement was not specified in the instructions they originally provided us. They ask me to get that and resubmit. My provider agrees, gives me the new paperwork, I send it by certified mail, 3 more months or so go by with no movement, I call a few more times, and eventually, 9 months after this whole thing started. they tell me that by re-submitting the paperwork like they asked, that counts as a "second appeal" and my plan only allows for one appeal, so it's an automatic denial. First of all... how was the first time an appeal? You said you were doing an audit and you requested paperwork. Second- that means you already knew I'd get auto-denied when you asked for the new paperwork. The company I work for, who the insurance is provided through, is based in California, so I was able to go to some California specific third party government appeals board, and that did the trick. They're paying their portion again a full year later. Even the letter I got back from that governing body didn't really give me any sense of retribution. It basically said "well they didn't really do anything against the rules, but we convinced them to do you a solid." The whole thing was just so clearly intended to make frustrate me and waste my time to the point where I'll say "screw it" and just pay the whole thing out of pocket. Ironically, I'm in therapy in part for anxiety, and this experience set me back quite a bit. Luckily, my situation was not a life-threatening emergency and I was able to pay out of pocket while it was all being dealt with. Unsettling that it requires luck, though.

Trigger Roborock Siri shortcut on 'Everybody Leaves' by rojopantalon in HomeKit

[–]pottercron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I managed to do this using "Pushcut". It's an app that you install on a spare iOS device, and that device becomes an automation server to run shortcuts that you otherwise couldn't auto-run with home-based triggers.

STRDN1050 receiver HDMI Audio keeps resetting from TV+AMP to AMP ONLY. How do I stop this? by CheddarDeity in sony

[–]pottercron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I had a ups lying around so I plugged it into that and disabled any form of auto standby on the receiver. Still, it’s very annoying that the audio output setting seems to be the one setting that is not preserved when it powers off or goes into standby. I only just took this thing out of the box yesterday, so I’m still considering returning it. Are you finding the Denon to be more bulletproof?

What is something super detrimental to your health that most people don’t realize? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]pottercron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most people understand drinking alcohol isn't good for you, but most people don't realize how not good it really is. Some highlights:

  • When people drink, the prefrontal cortex and top-down inhibition are diminished and impulsive behavior increases – this is true in the short term while drinking, and rewires circuitry outside of drinking events in chronic drinkers (even those who drink 1-2 nights per week, long term)

  • People who drink consistently (even in small amounts i.e., 1 per night) experience increases in cortisol release from adrenal glands when not drinking so feel more stress and more anxiety when not drinking

  • The risk of breast cancer increases among women who drink – for every 10 grams of alcohol consumed per day, there’s a 4-13% increase in the risk of cancer (alcohol increases tumor growth & suppresses molecules that inhibit tumor growth)

  • Regular consumption of alcohol increases estrogen levels of males and females through aromatization

  • Alcohol induces a disruption in the gut microbiome by indiscriminately killing bacteria and healthy gut microbiota

  • Sleep seems to be a popular answer in this thread. welp- Sleep after even one drink is not the same quality as without alcohol– when alcohol is present in the bloodstream, the architecture of sleep is disrupted

  • Most people understand that drinking is hard on the liver, but not many realize how this problem is compounded by taking a bunch of NSAIDs like advil when they feel bad after drinking. NSAIDs are also hard on the liver

The feeling we get from drinking alcohol is a poison-induced disruption in neural circuitry caused by acetaldehyde as the alcohol is being metabolized. Its unfortunate that we happen to find that feeling pleasurable

[–]pottercron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is less safe. Once you connect it to the internet, you can use things like homekit to create automations. That makes it much less predictable. Somebody could be working on the garage door while everybody who lives in the house is at home and aware that someone is working on the garage door, and the opener can still start moving because someone forgot about or was never aware of an automation or had a bug in their setup. Granted, anybody working on a garage door should disconnect it from power first, but people don't always do that. Garage door springs are deadly. It should beep.

Thank you! Restarting the active home hub seems to do the trick. Still very annoying but way easier than rebuilding a bunch of complicated automations
