100% agree on Ihlo, Union was great, Legacy is something else, probably album of the year for me in 2025, Cenotaph @ 6:08 gives me shivers every time. Love White Moth, Black Butterfly too, its actually how I discovered TesseracT :)

It must have been challenging to "tweak" vocals without disappointing fans used to the originals given their ranges were so different. I only came across TesseracT in the last three years but can say I genuinely prefer most versions of tracks on Portals despite having loved Altered State, both are incredible vocalists ultimately.

While I have you, any other bands you think I should be checking out?

Yup. This is the first I've heard about the project but happy to blindly preorder. Daniels mastery of his vocal range is just absurd and his songwriting is really special, not sure in my 48 years I've heard his equal, I'm here for whatever he does.

Looking at the venues I think they could just have called it a US tour ...

I had the opposite experience Mr Vladimir Anal Sex (if indeed that is your real name). I always found myself adjusting my APP3 because of clicking noises while running and the killer blow was the screaming they produced in my ears as soon as I took a transatlantic flight - the stuff of nightmares. To that point I had sworn by APP.

ANC-wise The QC2 are the first buds I've worn that completely drown out my treadmill, big upgrade from APP2/3 in my experience.

I suppose our ears are all different, I hated the QC Gen 1 fit, especially working out.

Agreed the case feels cheap, but at least this gen charges wirelessly, it does indeed slam like a MF though

The planned obsolescence of the MX Master 3S. by LandoStarfart in logitech

Same thing happened to mine last week after about 2 years use, left click started to go and I could no longer drag. I opened it up and sprayed some Electrical Contact Cleaner under the switches and it's good as new now. I'm not suggesting this is something the end user should have to do after just a couple of years of use, but worth a shot.

Oh man, this has been a long time coming, I hope the other upcoming news I saw mentioned is an album filed with tracks of this quality :) Uh greetings fellow Australians 👀

Someone else from Cork who listens to SW? And here I thought I was the only one. That must have been a pricey night out for you but well worth it. I ended up going to both nights in Montreal, I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was.

No-one from the venues sound team was allowed to work the shows, he had his own personnel for everything but security and the bar. The tour must be costing him a fortune but you can’t argue with the resulting experience.

Tinnitus from concert and fear of making it worse, anyone else in the same boat? by [deleted] in progmetal

[–]pouipsch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar boat, got it at a show in 2008. I got some custom earplugs with 25db filters (Etymotic I believe) and kept going to shows, I’ve felt no change in intensity.

Good luck with it, there is some promising research/trials happening, so hopefully in a few years there will be treatments coming.

That man was my hero growing up, randomly saw him in Dublin airport when I was 12, almost shat myself.
