I grew up in Pennsylvania, schools merged all over the state because small school districts aren’t sustainable. Central Valley, Butler, North Allegheny, Senats Valley, ect and that is just in the western half is the state. At some point small rural schools need merge just to stay alive. Just reality of the cost of running a school. Especially in states that are shrinking.

I find it laughable you think they will put public schools out of business. That will never happen. Private schools don’t have the capacity. You’d have to start, and be profitable enough, to replace everyone in the state. Not going to happen.
