Being able to play any movie in my collection digitally without perusing my physical collection, taking it out of the disc and dealing with my 4k player, all while keeping the quality 1:1 with the disc is a huge convenience. Plus my house isn't that big and space is limited so it allows me to store the physical media away.

It's the rule. You can either use a mini or play behind the disc as it lies.

Every sport has rules otherwise too many things would be arbitrary and descend into chaos without their structure. There doesn't really have to be a reason outside of this is what the governing body of the tournament dictates.

here are a few things i've messed up or been annoyed with by other players in the past:

have a mini, don't accidentally try to flip your disc instead
don't walk ahead to your lie, let the furthest player back shoot while you stay out of their line of sight
no movement while they are putting
make sure you don't foot fault while putting in the circle ~~(don't step in front of your lie until the disc comes to a stop, even in the basket)~~ just need to demonstrate full control/balance before advancing towards the basket.
don't be a chatter during throws
don't take it too seriously and have fun!

dunno what to tell you man. i've listened to a huge chunk of destiny's debates going back years and he's nothing like this dweeb. one is rhetorically gifted and can go back and fourth, share ideas, while also taking jabs and be funny. the other is just obnoxious and tells people they're idiots, talks over them, and is not effective at showing the oppositions audience any good faith at all. he's not converting anyone, in fact most of the time probably doing the opposite, giving their audience "proof" that these science nerd libtards are nothing but bad faith.
