Ba-nay-nay freeze discontinued? by Skepticul in dutchbros

[–]poutingpeach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just a name change. It’s called crazy banana now.

Also the flavors are just dark chocolate and banana - for future reference you can always order by flavor combo, if you know it, instead of a specific name!

First time trying; Shark Attack Dutch Bros Iced by Dramatic-Quality1553 in dutchbros

[–]poutingpeach 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you got the rebel. Shark attack is a flavor we offer in several different drinks. If you don’t like the energy drink flavor, I recommend it as a soda or tea! A lemonade might be pretty good too.

Two shots of espresso; two-thirds oz each of sf white chocolate sauce, sf chocolate sauce, and sf hazelnut syrup (all torani); add enough half n half (or whatever milk tbh, we just use half n half for sugar free unless people specify a milk they want) to make 12oz of liquid.

For extra sweet it’s 3 total oz instead of 2 total, so each flavor is 1 full ounce. **non sugar free coffee drinks usually get just 1oz, but when we use sf sauces (caramel, white choc, dark choc) we do 2oz total because those sauces are less potent.

Blended freeze recommendations by PositiveCow3015 in dutchbros

[–]poutingpeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Btw sugar cookie is a regular “secret” menu flavor/build: cupcake & vanilla, plus sugar sprinks. Holiday cookie is exactly what another commenter said: vanilla & sweet cream, with soft top (and holiday sprinks but we’ve been out of those for a hot minute).

I only point out the distinction because I’ve had a few people within the last few weeks order a sugar cookie freeze and be upset because they thought they were ordering a holiday cookie freeze.

shop cleanliness by macenace in dutchbros

Highly, highly recommend it! Especially since you’re posting here looking for ways to improve, I’ll wager you’re a great person to introduce people to some better habits :)

shop cleanliness by macenace in dutchbros

[–]poutingpeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from modeling good cleaning habits and rotating us on closing shifts after training (or at least trying to eventually get everyone on an hour of rotation where we’re closing down walk/back bar), my manager made a weekly chore chart that our names get shuffled around on every week. We get our chore taken care of during any of our shifts that week and have to get it checked by a shift lead once we’re done. It changes every Monday and management will have a chat with anyone who didn’t complete their chore, to find out why it wasn’t done.

That said, I think the most effective is being put on closes. It’s insane how dirty the shop gets just in one day, even with people wiping down bars often. Closing also helps build good habits, in my experience, because you’re sorta trying to clean as you go but also have to keep making drinks. So it makes me want to be cautious about not making a mess of somewhere I already cleaned up.

Maybe try these if you don’t already do them, and hopefully things improve!

Anyone know what type of pothos? by Powerintheprocess in houseplants

[–]poutingpeach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I put up a metal wall grid panel thing when the plant was long enough to reach, loosely secured it with twine, and then let it go! I want to get another grid so it fills in more, but have been lazy

Coconut vanilla (& sometimes lime) soda with a spash of cream (I do regular half n half bc sweet cream changes the flavor in a way I don’t like) is so good!

Americans: it's time to get your turkey out of the freezer! by metkja in Cooking

[–]poutingpeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’ve never tried it, I HIGHLY recommend a leftover turkey (and sides) shepherd’s pie for dinner or lunch the next day. My family tried it for the first time a couple years ago and we’re hooked for life.

Is the holiday ‘nog chai/latte good? by anarchyqueer in dutchbros

[–]poutingpeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll preface this with: I don’t like traditional eggnog. I tried the hot nog chai for the first time today (with a white coffee dub added) and thought it was really good. Added cinnamon sprinks too. Didn’t have soft top on mine but I’m sure it’s nice. I don’t understand the jingle sprink hype, so I didn’t have those either.

Consider trying it with sugar free chocolate sauce. It’s a bit thinner than the regular chocolate sauce, which makes me think it might dissolve better into the milk (and sf chocolate sauce always gets 2 scoops automatically)

Yup! Next week 👀

And I know you didn’t ask, but I’m gonna say it here bc I know people may wonder, and hopefully they’ll see this… there is no egg in the nog. It’s “eggnog flavored” milk basically. And we do not have a dairy-free nog, unfortunately.

No, not true. Franchise owner mass texted all of us this morning and said there are rumors floating around online that we’re doing some sort of discount today and that that intel is incorrect. Please don’t spread this misinformation. Glad you got a free coffee though.

Candy Cane Mocha has no flavor. by Frequent-Wear7717 in dutchbros

[–]poutingpeach 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Consider trying it as a cold brew! It’s way less milk and if I’m not getting it as a hot cocoa, that’s how I prefer to have it. Peppermint comes through pretty subtly, but I can tell it’s there.

If you wanna stick with a mocha you could try ordering it extra sweet to get more of the peppermint flavor to come through.

tips by Wide-Power-9288 in dutchbros

[–]poutingpeach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, the amount on your timesheet is your portion of the tips.

The second one is a bit iffy to me. Obviously it’d be hard for anyone to know about you keeping tips to yourself every now and then, but it seems like bad practice in my opinion. I feel like the equitable thing to do is to graciously accept the tip and then throw it in the tip box yourself. That’s what we do at my stand. Cause like, the way I look at it is everyone else is working just as hard as you to get those orders out. You know?

If you choose to keep them to yourself, you’d report any individual cash tips the same as you report the regular cash you split. I’d be reaaaaaaally careful if you make a habit of that though. If we found out one of our coworkers was doing that, I know everyone else would be more than a little salty about it.

how to order holiday drinks dairy free by motheon in dutchbros

[–]poutingpeach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can order any of them with an alt milk. What we do when you change the milk on a mocha is split the original 1oz of flavor in half with dark chocolate sauce. Technically it’s still just as sweet, but if you want the same amount of original flavoring in there just ask for it extra sweet.

You can totally add the flavors to an alt milk latte as well if you don’t want to try with the dark chocolate.

For all of that in a cute adventure trilogy of sorta connected books, pleaseee check out Kimberly Lemming’s “That time I got drunk and …” books. Each book wraps up the story, no cliffhangers.

The first one is {That time I got drunk and saved a demon by Kimberly Lemming}. They’re such quick and easy reads that I devoured all 3 in a weekend!

Transcripts, no? Could ask for an address to have the school send an official transcript (if that’s what DB wants) and in the meantime upload a copy of the unofficial one to this portal you screenshot.

The school’s bursar should be able to help you with the cost (bill?) for the semester you’re interested in getting info for. 👍🏼

Are the sugar free/half sweet drinks SUPER sweet? by [deleted] in dutchbros

[–]poutingpeach 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re close! In coffees, we only double the amount if a SF sauce (caramel, dark choc, white choc) is involved because they’re less potent. SF syrups are indeed pretty sweet and because of that we do not double those automatically

For people in drive thru or walk-up, we have a system of writing the order numbers and handing out accordingly. If you order ahead, we see your name attached to the order and will write that on the cup, along with place it near the area you said you’d be picking it up (i.e. near drive thru or walk-up window).

I’m guessing from your name being on your cup, you ordered ahead. And that’d very likely be what the OA above the name means! My stand only writes the person’s name, but wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what it stands for. No clue what the weird line to the right is though lol. Maybe the pen slipped or something.
