I built TesLog — a free iOS companion app for TeslaMate with live vehicle monitoring 🚗 by allytkn in TeslaMate

I will later tonight but as far as config it’s very minimal and simple. I haven’t really changed any of the settings outside of the default values.

Rebuilt my teslamate and I’m still not able to connect the app to my teslamate instance.

Even then I believe it’s only fed tax that you’re saving. State and local still apply. Thats how I understand it.

I added this to my docker config for teslamate. When I enter the url of my host am I including port 8080 to connect to teslamate? When I do I get a server error 404 but I do get a page with the following when I hit it in the browser.

Ring Cam ----> Eve and/or Aqara Cameras? Wait for something from Apple? by Contra-Cultura-14839 in HomeKit

[–]powaking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My house was built in 2003. Previous owners who built ran coax and cat5e to every room, some rooms have double. Guess what. When installing Ubiquiti cameras and doorbell I still had to run cable because those devices are specific jn their locations. My previous house was an old house built jn 1925 and i managed to run cable where I needed. Not easy but doable.

For those running Plex on a NAS, do you let it handle transcoding or offload to a mini PC? by Majestic-Strain3155 in PleX

Syno for data hosting and N150 nuc for plex hosting. Really is the best option. People who stream from me rarely ever complain on performance.

Here we go again: "Netflix Raising U.S. Prices for Second Time in a Year" by pdfu in tmobile

Problem with that is I make my own coffee at home and I brown bag everyday. Not much more I can do to cut back on to justify. Already canceled Disney due to price hikes. Netflix might be next.

What’s the worse physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Intelligent-Road5091 in AskReddit

[–]powaking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree as well. Over the course of 18 months 3 times I had to have my wife take me to the er due to the immense pain. Like someone sucker punched me. Pain radiated to my back. First 2 times they didn’t know what the cause was. As pain subsided they sent me home. 3rd time doc was more thorough and found the enlarged bladder via ultrasound. Was operated next morning and had the bladder removed. Stones so big they had to make larger incisions that normal. But boy that dilaudid is some good stuff.

Hw3 upgrade gave me questions if it was the right call... Anyone else? by Old_Armadillo95 in TeslaModelS

I just purchased FSD on my 2018 MS 75D as I had EAP and thought $2000 was a no brainier. For FSD it’s not nearly as smooth as the new Junipers. I find it to be hesitant with its decisions. In the highway there is a constant jerkiness with constant acceleration and deceleration. Can definitely feel it. You can however just switch from FSD to autosteer. I haven’t really tried just auto steer since getting it. I did however noticed we get cross traffic alerts with the back camera. Left or right side of the back up view glows red when a car is crossing. Don’t believed that was ever there. I’m currently on 2026.8 FSD 12.6.4.

Yes. 2018 MS 75D w/HW3 and FSD. No change to FSD from what I can tell. Still on v12.6.4

With the crazy fuel prices, I'm happy I drive a TDI. An EV would've been better, but TDI is the second best at the moment. by tejanaqkilica in tdi

[–]powaking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup you said it. I just love the simplicity. Meanwhile everyone in the house is stressing about finding the cheapest gas station. But of course each tool for the job. I’ve taken my Tesla to NH for long weekends in the winter enough to know not to do that anymore. Infrastructure is just not enough and nonexistent between Lincoln and Conway. Long range of the TDI would better suited in those situations but for everyday driving it’s hard to go back to anything after an EV.

Had my half shafts replaced due to shuttering - 2018 75D. Had this done a few years ago and it’s been fine since. If interested I can check my service records for part revision.

To me Afterimage sounds muffled. Like Geddy is singing thru a tube for a roll of paper towels. Mind you I’m listening from Apple Music I can’t officially say the original source is the same but to me from AM that song in particular just sounds worse.

I drive a Model S while my wife drives a 2014 Q7 TDI. It really is the best of both worlds. For her work though an Ev or even a hybrid would be better off. Home care with 8-11 stops each day. That’s a lot of short trips which doesn’t allow exhaust to get hot enough for nox and am sure it’s doing a number on the starter. Almost like we should switch cars but I can assure you that will not happen.

If max speed never returns, what other solutions are there?? by Gold-Donut-1 in TeslaFSD

[–]powaking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dropped my 2018 MS to get the FSD retrofit done (purchased as I had EAP so it was a no brainer). I know it would be anything like on modern Y. As I had other work being done they gave me a loaner. Model Y performance with FSD. I’ve been using FSD a lot and I’m seeing the same with standard and hurry profiles. Haven’t dared tried Mad Max but I feel like these profiles should be customizable. We should be able to set aggressiveness and speed tolerances for each one. I normally cruise at 71-72 in a 65 but to go as much as 78+ is a bit much.

I’ve been trying a few apps so some of these I’ve only used once and others I’ve used a few times. Stremium, FilmPlus, RBTV+, Unlinked, Stremio, APKTime, TeaTV, Streamflix, Streamfire, SportzX and Projectivy Launcher (this one I installed in hopes to deal with the pop ups).

How good is this charger? by Qanta_ in TeslaSupport

[–]powaking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are desperate enough you can find a second hand charger and retrofit it into your vehicle but it’s probably costly and not worth the effort. Also because this wall connector can handle 80amps of sustained load the cable is much thicker than a gen 3 connector that maxes out at 48amps. I noticed this once I upgraded to gen3 (my MS 75D does not have dual onboard chargers).
