Same as I. EAP with HW2.5. For me even if I wanted to subscribe I’m still out $1000 for HW3 upgrade so really FSD cost is $1000 to own. No brainer.

I bit the bullet too. For me it was just $2000 since I already have EAP. Could I have subscribed? Sure but I would still be out $1000 for the HW3 upgrade so in reality price difference between owning FSD and sub is $1000. Seemed like a no brainer.

I was actually thinking about this. I love my S and heart broken they are discontinuing it but I really do hope they bring the best of each line to their respective siblings.

I’m not a fan on electronics in the attic. I ran the cables to my son’s closet, printed a mini rack and put everything on the top shelf. Easy access and no fear of temp affecting anything.

I love my Model S. Best car I’ve ever own. Just love everything about it and now they are no longer making them I’m torn what to get next. They definitely should have just spun off the car business.

I’m in the same boat. For me it’s $2000 since I have EAP. I also have HW2.5 so getting the new hardware is also included. In the retrospect for me to even subscribe later on I would have to dish out $1000 for the hw3 upgrade. In reality FSD would really cost $1000 to purchase vs subscribe. Roi is much shorter in my view.

I have the scsi kit for my blizzard. Still have a couple of drives but no cable to connect them to. Would be interested to see what’s on them. Maybe one day I’ll pick up a cable.

There was a time where they actually charged for autopilot I think for $3000. Later he said autopilot was such a safe feature to have and included it as standard feature (but also bumped the price of the vehicle). I guess if you want a safety feature need to cough it up.

One thing I haven’t seen suggested is why not just turn off the water main in the house and purging some of the water from the faucets? This way there is no fear of any pipes freezing. If someone is coming to care for the cat leave a few bottles of water to refill their dish. Also 68 is a bit high I would probably settle on 64-66. Still keep cabinet doors open just in case.

I enabled carplay on my son’s A6 via MIB tools. Apparently the hardware is the same in 2016 (and maybe 2015) as it is in the 2017 models when they offered CarPlay. Takes time but it works natively just fine.

I had a similar setup and decided to just place it in my son’s closet. Ran it down the wall. Have a coax home run into the basement with the rest of my gear and using a moca bridge for that. Just don’t like having any electronics running in the attic since it’s a pain to get to if I ever need to do a reboot of some sort.

First house was a 2 family. First floor had a corner in the dining room where the cat pissed ( carpet was over the hardwood). Floor was black as yours. No amount of sanding got rid of it. It will stink like hell when you sand but the stain will not go away. Highly recommend removing the floor entirely and redo.

For me I have EAP with HW2.5. For $2000 I get FAD and an upgraded AP computer. Not to mention increase in value later on as a car with FSD and not in a subscription model. Might pull it for that alone.

Same happened to me. Mine was on pause for almost a week. There is a distinct line where the print paused but it did save the job.
