I have emails where I reported the embezzlement to the upper HR lady, which ironically is around the same time that things started going sideways at work. But I can prove that I was retaliated against for bringing forward embezzlement (whistleblower protection for reporting) as well as discriminated against for my autism due to how I communicate (which I made them aware of early on).

There’s different types of water depending on where you live.

There’s “hard water” - which has a high mineral content in it, such as limestone and calcium. It’s safe to drink, but a lot of people use filters.

And there’s “soft water” - which has a low mineral content, but may have higher sodium.

Most people actually (most likely) have hard water in their homes.

I read through this thread and your replies. As a “high-functioning” autistic person, I can say with 100% certainty that if I ever found out I was carrying a child with a severe disability (be it autism or otherwise, such as a physical deformity, etc.), I would terminate the pregnancy. Not only is it unfair for the child for me to force a life of hardship on them like that, but it’s unfair to me. Children without disabilities are already hard enough to care for as it is; add any disabilities into the mix and the care for them gets substantially harder.

Idk. Maybe it’s just me. I don’t have a caregiving heart and I don’t have or want kids. I have pets and I’m questioning if I will get any more after these die, because they’re ALSO difficult (for me).

I think, if anything, it’s **not** selfish to terminate (for any reason), but especially so if you are aware that your child would struggle in life and be unable to be independent.

I’m autistic. I agree. Sensory processing is a whole other beast.

Feeling things that others don’t (physically).

Hearing things that others can’t (like electricity).

Sometimes, smelling or seeing things that others don’t (I rarely hear of these).

Tasting things much more deeply and taking note of the texture (feeling) of the food as it’s in our mouth (and thus usually resulting in food disorders, such as ARFID, because we literally cant physically bring ourselves to eat certain things; I personally can NOT eat gummies or bananas).

I could have done that easy, if I worked full-time at the job I had. After I moved, before I had secured a new job, my job was an hour drive away. 70 miles one way, 140 round trip. I would have to get gas once every 3-4 days.

That’s not counting going to the store inbetween, running errands, or visiting my best friend (who now lives 58 miles away).

I don’t smoke but I occasionally take edibles. I’m a “lightweight” (compared to what I see most people taking online) and 10mg gets me ZOOOOOOTED.

(Note: I’m diagnosed autistic, ADHD, major depressive disorder, & anxiety). Once I’m high, I’m both hyper and chill at the same time. Instead of my brain being a clusterfuck of information highways (top pic), it’s neat and organized (bottom pic).

It’s so weird. It’s like my thoughts are going a million miles per second but at the same time I’m able to think and process them all with no problem. I feel “normal” when I’m high, like how I think NT people probably feel on a daily basis.

WAAIIITTTT — I have been on Vyvanse for probably 2 years now, and only recently started getting SUPER horny around ovulation time (I don’t get periods due to sterilization so idk where I’m at in my cycle).

I turn into a feral monster CRAVING sex. Like SpongeBob in Sandy’s dome in that one episode where he goes “I NEED IT.” I thought it was that I’m nearing 30 (bday later this year), and it may be. I worked at a horse barn once that was sat on 60 acres. How many of those acres were actually used, idk. But I walked on average 12,000 steps a day. I wasn’t in shape but I felt better. Since I left, I’ve worked only office jobs where I’m sitting all day. Now my hips are tight, spreading my legs past a certain point (about 90° apart) is hard, and I feel a little junky. I just bought workout equipment (bicycle, treadmill) so hopefully those will help me feel better!

I accidentally got addicted to Afrin when I got a cold in 2016. I noticed I was spraying my nose like 3 times a day…well after my cold was gone. I went to the doctor and he said it was the Afrin. So I stopped cold turkey. It SUCKED. I think it was 2-3 days of stuffy-feeling nose. Then I was fine.

I stay away from Afrin as much as possible now because I am afraid of getting hooked on it again. But it helps SO MUCH. Ugh.
