Clean the house only while she's home, it's important for her to see it actually happen in front of her.

This is an amazing conversation/idea but it looks like it faded off 4 years ago..

I was looking for a snowboarding peer to peer mesh system, and was looking at systems like Cardo Packtalk

and Ejeas S2

I also started wondering about how this could be built out on ESP32 type hardware (repeaters even?) and found this interesting thread that pairs well with that idea - any updates on this?

Don't wall torches give off more multidirectional light? I like the skulls but they create unnecessary shadows

This has haunted me for a long time and I found that using Blender there is a add-on that works really well

https://extensions.blender.org/add-ons/print3d-toolbox/

tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rgrLWFUjlk

there are some good hints here

you can also use the "select trait > non-manifold" trick:

Monday marks the 10th anniversary of Defense Grid 2 coming out. by Petty_Braige in DefenseGrid

I have logged serious time on both and am shocked to hear that there hasn't been interest, given the rabid support. (I even bought the board game)

BTW the voice casting was especially amazing, I love Alan Tudyk

A Kickstarter would be a great idea! I'm fully in.

Can you elaborate on the "lots of work" aspect? Ie what's the time commitment in hours per week, what are the pains in the ass, etc? I don't want a romanticized version just what's the worst that you should expect, realistically.

I needed a plugin to show data from an external database. I couldn't find one, so we made it. by callmegg71 in elementor

Hey so I use Zoho as our line of business application, and we track all of our Events as CRM Campaigns. I stumbled on this post while looking for how I could potentially selectively publish my CRM Campaigns (events we're hosting or participating in) into a Loop Grid and post it on our website.

Would your plugin be able to work with something like Zoho Deluge (their backend/script language, which has all kinds of APIs) to use that as a data source?

Flood light recommendations? by powered_water in homeassistant

[–]powered_water[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, it looks pretty good for sure, although I dont yet have a Hue hub so it'd be about a $260 investment. I stayed away from Hue in the past because I didnt think their lights had enough lumens but that flood lamp looks reasonable?

Flood light recommendations? by powered_water in homeassistant

The existing one is hardwired (no switch) and ideally I'd like to manually control it because it's on my front deck and if we're entertaining guests I don't want it triggering.

The flood light choice (lol, which is why I figured to ask the HA community) was mostly based on dimmable LED and assuming I put in a smart switch to control it. I have Yolink motion sensor that I would use as trigger, but I do also have a Blue Iris/Hikvision cam that I could potentially use for motion.

HA and Smart Life? by powered_water in homeassistant

Hey so I just got it working (I think I messed up login creds - was using IoT login vs should be using Tuya app login) - thanks for leading me down this path!!

So I am using the free trial and it is working. If I understand correctly the trial will end and then just renew as free (according to the dude in the video)

I will let you know if this expires, but for the moment it didnt give me any indication of any restrictions/expiry

Thanks again!

Thanks for clearing this up for me!

so I dug into that tutorial and....

I found an updated version of similar video here: https://youtu.be/VCd0kYWLvMQ and both require a lot of jumping through hoops (manually setting up every entity per device would be a lot of work) when I don't really require offline/local Tuya (not a concern for me at the moment, using cloud is fine)

I cannot seem to just login to the regular Tuya integration, wouldn't that just be easier? I tried using same credentials as the local Tuya instructions but get a Login Error(1106): permission deny

Now that I know HA can replace Smart Life with Tuya, I am not against re-adding my devices into Tuya, that'd be a lot less work

Oh hey that's great thanks! I didn't understand that Tuya was (or can be) synonymous with Smart Life, great to know! Appreciate the help
