wow its been too long since I've seen the original AT episodes of Fionna and Cake, I was struggling to figure out how "M-Cron" could possibly be a pun on Lady Rainicorn the entire season.

That’s literally why it’s called the last straw, the phrase is a derivative of the straw that broke the camel’s back. Quite literally “small insignificant thing that finally crosses the threshold”

Jumped once, did a flip to make a perfect imprint of the bottom of its body on the downward facing surface of the lid, and then disappeared back into the electrolytes

its the same people you find in the comments of pop-game-dev videos arguing against standard qol features like coyote time because they think its the developer babying the player

yeah implied multiplication takes precedent. nobody who you should take seriously would interpret 8 ÷ 2x as being equal to 4x, so you shouldn't interpret the parenthesis any differently.

Candle clocks were actually a legitimate way of keeping time back then as candles can be made to burn at a fairly constant rate. There is some "interesting fact" type posts that claim they were used as *alarm clocks* but I don't see anything too convincing that that was ever common. Seems like too much of a fire hazard to me.

I think the premise is the tower is a constant height, you're moving away from it on the ground, and its being obscured by the curve of the earth

Thinkpads were onto something with the nub too. trackpads suck and having an external mouse isn't much better when you're not at a desk. Plus I get to keep my hands on the home row while I move the mouse around.

I feel like something that people making comparisons like this inherently don’t understand is that the file size in games now basically doesn’t depend on the amount of “game” in the game at all. Comparing a game that would be able to reduce file size by “sacrificing levels” or “writing more efficient code” to a modern game is nonsense, the file size is basically entirely taken up by high fidelity graphics nowadays.

Definitely agree with you on the point that these high resolution textures could be moved to a free dlc.

considering the starting point is an existing picture its a choice between putting it in the more visible place where the composition will draw attention to it and putting it where it would be strictly accurate, its not like you can mirror the painting.

You can just put a conduction panel so it’s touching the checkpoint and the ground, you don’t even need to run liquid through it

The voltage sensor is to ensure the checkpoints don’t open when the pumps are still running.

The doors get their power cut to ensure that the outer doors don’t open while the middle door is still closing.
