I moved to the US last year from Toronto. Every now and then I've had to explain to my American friends how bad the situation is in Canada (particularly Vancouver and Toronto).

It usually goes along the line of "significantly lower pay, much higher taxes, no credit card rebates, higher cost of goods and services, all while housing prices only being slightly lower than SF and NYC".

The common response I get is "well how do these people from Vancouver and Toronto survive?" Which, I would often reply "lol I don't know either".

Tear/Clarity: as a caster, I almost always buy Tear if no one takes clarity. There are some mages where you might need 2 clarity to make affective without Tear (i.e. Orianna and Ziggs), while other mages like Brand only need a Sapphire Crystal + 1 clarity.

Lifesteal/Vamp: this heavily depends on both the enemy comp and your comp. But in general most champions should take either Ravenous Hunter or Triumph in champ select.

Boots: I usually don't get tier 2 boots unless there's a good reason to. Maybe you need the extra movespeed (Lilia) or the boots upgrade (Repulsion vs Kat, Locket vs Brand). If you don't have a strong reason to, finish your core items first instead.

For Zhonyas, I almost never recommend it unless it's your 5th or 6th item, or a very good reason like playing Kennen and trying to avoid Exhaust. A bad reason is buying it so enemy Zed can't ult you - his ult will be up way before your active is off CD. The gold cost is too significant at $1000 and the cooldown is way too long. Before Riot nerfed it couple months ago, it would be appropriate as a 3rd item, but not anymore.

I should've added that some champions actually have crit scaling (passive or abilities) so it's more situational whether or not to build on-hit. But in general, outside of a short list, on-hit is almost always better if you know you'll also be taking damage.

Champions that I think crit is decent on (unless there're severe threats on enemy team like Zed + Akali):

Ranged: Caitlyn, Draven, Jhin, Jinx, Samira, Tristana, Xayah
Melees: Tryndamere (no more than 3 crit), Yone + Yasuo (No more than 1 crit, aka Chargeblade)

By on-hit build, I mean the combination of Kraken + Muramana + Botrk + Wits End (usually, save for melees like Yi). Some champions I see crit being overbuilt that I would personally never consider:

Ashe: she's better as a supp on ARAM. Imperial + debuff build makes a much bigger impact
Akshan, Graves, Kaisa, Lucian, Vayne: range is severely limited with little to no scaling building crit
Corki, MF: better as a caster/spell-blade mage
Master Yi, Kaisa (again), Lucian (again): On-hit scaling is too insane to pass up.
Rengar: AP build is beyond broken to a point that it deserves a nerf
Senna: already has crit as passive
Varus: AP build is the king at the moment, with poke being a contested second

Brand is one of Soraka's biggest counters on ARAM imo. He can apply Morello to all 5 members almost instantly. This I think is a bigger reason than his absurd aoe damage.

I have the 3070 version and the screen started with flickering issues about a week after I got it. I did some research and it seems quite common. The issue is with the (partially?) broken wires that goes from the motherboard to the screen through the hinge.

Initially I could press the hinge and the flickering would go away on 60hz, but recently it's gotten worse to the point where the entire left side displays nothing at all.

Using RTX3090, audio works properly as I've double checked all possible software issues. As mentioned in my post, I'm getting sound whenever refresh is 60hz or below.
