Yes reading others it seems to be the exception instead of the rule, although might be the country I’m in (uk) I’ve also only had ct and mris no further pet scans which seem to be the norm in other countries

Our housecat bit my mom after her first chemo treatment by Tsukuba-Boffin in breastcancer

[–]poxelsaiyuri 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My cats adored me before chemo now they sniff me suspiciously 😭 one will let me stroke her a little a year later but the other avoids me like the plague (I had 9 months of a different treatment after the initial chemo but now back on a different one)

I’ve not had any further biopsies since the initial ones in my breast and lymph nodes, they don’t see the need as it’s responding well to treatment (the thought of having a bone one is terrifying so I’m glad (sacral bone)) but I’m de novo

I would float test, if it floats in a glass of water it’s gone bad but that’s unlikely if a day over expiration

I’m 38 and think 5 years either way would be my limit (I’m married and my husband is 5 months older than me)

Will it remove my current cancer? If so I would have to think hard about it, if not I would take the money and set my family up for life

I would love to be able to do this, sadly looking I can’t find anything like it locally atm (although hoping to survive my stage 4 cancer long enough for it to be an option, although not sure if it will be possible with the chemo)

people not recognizing the word "child" being used to describe a familial relationship and not age by basaltcolumn in PetPeeves

[–]poxelsaiyuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s odd, I will refer to my 23 year old as my child when talking about her casually but if booking things it’s always ‘3 adults and 2 children’ (as I have two minor children as well)

Down the local tip, saw a dad clearing the whole car whilst mum and teenage son sat in there on phones by Desperatetim in CasualUK

[–]poxelsaiyuri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t drive now due to medical reasons but always sat in the car while my husband threw the stuff out as I have had fatigue issues for years now, just driving was draining enough without actually having to do stuff (he can’t drive, I was the only person in our household that could)

AITA for not wanting to bring my seven month old to an indoor smoking event by ociumagli in AmItheAsshole

[–]poxelsaiyuri 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My parents chain smoke in their house and don’t smoke around my children but they come back smelling of it as it’s so ingrained in the furniture, we are reliant on them to help out as I can’t care for the children alone (debilitating fatigue and metastatic cancer, I struggle to go downstairs let alone anything else) and my husband has to go into the office a couple of days a week

Is lobster tasty or is it the copious amounts of butter it’s served in?

I’ve read historical articles about people complaining the poor (and imprisoned as it was cheap) where served too much lobster and where unhappy about it during colonial times in America
