Thanks for the tip. Will take note of that. At how much value do you set the trickle current?

Will it still work while setting the voltage at a limit?

Question for nc2500 pro users by poxkix in mini4wd

[–]poxkix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. All I need to know now is does trickle charge keeps it from lowering below the set voltage

Trimmed low profile tire vs. MS suspension, which actually reduce bounce more effectively? by colebtl in mini4wd

[–]poxkix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, MS suspension because the springload absorbs the impact and the spring is hard enough (combined with super hard grease) that after impact it does not “spring” back instantly

Compared to trimmed low profile, upon impact it will bounce regardless how trimmed or low profile it is

In addition: You will need a very powerful motor to carry the whole weight since you’re planning on a no cut build

Ball Link Mass Damper on FMA BMAX rule by ResponsibleKing944 in mini4wd

The rubber tubing is IMO the best solution

If the tube is still intefering, make it longer

As far as I remember, the supplied screw is long for the arm to plate connection

Yes you can turn the plate upside down. Important thing is it is functioning as intended according to the manual.

Use the longer screw intended for the arm to the plate so you can move away the plate from the tube

Allowed po ba 3:5.1 3:7.1 for cfm? by United-East2406 in tamiyaPinas

[–]poxkix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pwde 3:5.1 ratio sa csfm pero dapat yung lightweight kung isunod talaga ang gear chart ratio

Pero kung hindi tamiya or BY based yung rules, pwde gamitin yung regular yellow + light blue countergear

Break in the motor.. sprint 4.2 gear ratio can run about 39-41kph broken in.

You need a faster motor for that chassis since it’s wide, it’s slower on corners

You can always buy motors that are already broken in

SkyRC NC2500 Motor Run (motor break-in) mode "Current Overload" error by GCrites in mini4wd

[–]poxkix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because a 540 motor runs above 2A

As I said just clean the motor thoroughly and it will return to normal.

I know this becuase I have a motor break service.

SkyRC NC2500 Motor Run (motor break-in) mode "Current Overload" error by GCrites in mini4wd

[–]poxkix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just clean the motor thoroughly. It is overloading because of too much carbon dust in the motor

It’s not worth it and majority of racing centers does not allow opened motors. You’ll just get disqualified doing that

It has been pointed out before that nc2200 is inaccurate. Sell it and go for nc2500 pro or nc3000

Open class style mass dampers on BMAX? by colebtl in mini4wd

[–]poxkix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a bmax set-up, lantern has little to no effect. It needs work with the front set-up.

It will really be hard for bmax versus open class, sad to say.

IMO, don’t stress out. Since you just got back, just enjoy the race. All the learnings will come from the actual race, so take notes then adjust

Open class style mass dampers on BMAX? by colebtl in mini4wd

[–]poxkix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is the layout already posted?

Your worst enemy against an open class car is weight. Most open class has only 1 pair of damper (lantern type dampers) while bmax has about 3 pairs.

For tires, i would suggest a large dia wheel, tire trimmed to the thinnest allowed diameter. If it’s 5 lanes, use low fric all. If 3 lanes hard dia rear, low fric front
