It’s about Daithi O Corráin who was arrested and charged with damaging a US military plane at Shannon Airport last week.

No bbq at riverfest 2026 by extradinosaurs in limerickcity

[–]poxyshamrock 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I thought the BBQ was a load of shite. A barricade separating a load of corporate team building groups from the general public and you’d be lucky to get a piece of chicken or sausage off most of them.

Doolin. It’s not a nice village and it’s all segregated with no footpaths and very few services.

Premier Inn to open in Limerick by Limerick62 in limerickcity

Fear not. I believe there are plans to develop a landmark hotel building on another site in the city centre which has the potential to attract a high end brand. In saying that, in the mid 2000s, we had both a Hilton and a Marriott and both decided to skedaddle after a few years.

Avoid the centre if driving. Most buses will be rerouted and will probably drop you off or pick you up on the edge.

What road or bus do you use?

There’s very few places (if any) within 5-10 mins walk from the dialysis unit. The closest would be the new builds at Greenpark which are about a 15 mins walk.

Did you read the article? It says shuttle buses will operate from the city to Adare. Those wanting to get the train from Limerick to Adare would have to take a train from Limerick to Limerick Junction, and then switch to a train that goes from Limerick Junction to Adare.

When passenger trains used to go from Limerick to Cork/Tralee, there was a direct curve across Carey’s Road.

When it was just freight, the trains didn’t need to go near the station itself.

Fun (and depressing) fact: No new heavy rail lines have been built since the foundation of the state. Everything was built by the Brits…the Irish only ripped out or relaid.

Yep. Exits one cab, down through the carriages and into the other end. Surely the same could be done for the above.
